His mom was on the radio here this morning. I will say it's not only a police thing and leave it at that. It is what it is, I don't see an issue with it myself.

Fully disagree! No coach wants that PR nightmare. And I highly doubt a coach would be against his kid speaking up against a social cause he believes in. Most of these kids post similar things on twitter and coaches say nothing since its not negative and is relevant to them. The fact that someone has even considered that Tyreke would have his scholarship pulled is asinine.

I also told him to be ready to have an answer and be able to fully explain the shirt in great detail. He did just that.”

Yup. Bang on.

Agree with the kid or not... it would be recruiting suicide for a coach or anyone in the program to screw with a kid's first amendment rights.

For the record, I am glad to see a multidimensional kid showing up to a camp. If Urb has done anything, he's emphasized the importance of life off the field with these kids. Sadly, that's real life for some.

Good. We've established that some people (me included) like the shirt and some people don't. And we can all still be friends. With that, the discussion of the shirt in this forum has now come to an end. Feel free to start a thread about Tyreke's shirt in another forum. Further discussion of the topic seems like an absolute necessity for those who care about other humans and the health of our society. But that discussion will not happen here.
