DE/LB Nathan Williams (official thread)

Story I heard from a player on the team is that they were all at a team dinner Monday night and Coleman speared him the back and layed him out. Coleman got up and flashed a shit eating grin at everyone. Tressel made a comment to all the players that it was a "fair" hit and all players should be aware of their surroundings at all times. Hopefully Nathan will learn from this mistake and start paying more attention.

True story. Apparently, somebody stole Kurt's dinner roll and he was on a rampage, Nathan confessed to it to take the heat off of a friend and Kurt gave him the business as a result.

After watching film from the last few games, Nathan has made a lot of big plays in the backfield and around the line of scrimmage. I've been really impressed by his first step off the snap of the ball, his ability to shed blockers, to get into the backfield and disrupt plays and he's shown solid tackling to this point. A lot of people suggested that he would be one of the surprise players in his class. He's showing that already just into his Soph. year.
