Dayton Flyers (Official Thread)

If sportscenter sees that clip, i wouldn't be surprised if it ends up on top 10. Great putback dunk. 21-2 and 7-1 in conference. This is exactly the kind of game we lost last year. 22-2 going into X is key.

1 of 2 against X and then winning the games we should the rest of the way could get us as high as a #4 seed in the end... Without a win over X, I don't think we get above a 7 or 8...

I think I need to stop listening to Larry and Bucky for road games... Every time I do, we either lose or win a heart-stopper... I should just stick to the game-cast :shake:...
Not to mention that Bucky always manages to make me depressed when we try to give up games... You can tell he's a Flyer through and through, because he takes that so hard and gets so down himself...

Win at Charlotte this weekend and ESPiN2 will have a match-up of two ranked teams next Wednesday night... I can't wait to be there. The atmosphere for fuXU is always great, but when ESPiN is there it's always that much more electric...

Not saying we got a screw job last year but after the 11 seed against Purdue and Depaul we would be a 5 probably 6 at best.

Our stategery in scheduling has failed us. I don't mean to go on a rant here folks.

We got too few chips other than Marquette who's value could start sinking on their brutal five Big East games for our OOC. Scheduling a home and home with Toledo and SMU were 2 of probably the dumbest moves I've ever seen out of the UD Athletic department. SMU before the series began was known lost cause and Toledo despite "winning" the MAC the year before the series started was on shakey ground. A home and home series should never be one our five worst RPI games.

I'm not some delusional UDPride style homer that thinks we're going to get UNC, Duke, UConn, UCLA, Kentucky to play us home and home. I can also see the value in not playing Auburn, Oregon State, St. Johns, Northwestern just because their BCS schools. There's no way going in to Toledo or SMU one could think those series were a good idea. We need to at least get top 100 RPI games both years out of a home and home.

Best case we're not in the 8/9, 7/10 games. We pull that off and I'm happy. The OOC and the A10 this year isn't giving us anything better.

Next year when we're "loaded" with returning everyone but chuck little. We as of now have George Mason, Miami on the road, Carribean tourney that Xavier played in this year and Creighton at home. Exempt tourney is good for 3 or 4 games for the price of one against good competiton. We need to play one home and home starting at the arena and one on the road. Considering the team we should also play a one shot buy game against a beatable top 15-25 or borderline one. 8 home guys which is what is needed to fund the athletic department, 4 road and 3 or 4 neutral. Then we can go after a top 4 seed.
