London Warren is the key to our halfcourt woes. His man is basically a roaming defender that double teams anyone under the foul line. If he doesn't create turnovers with his defense, there is no reason to have him on the court.

Stephen Thomas has shown that he can hit the open jumper and not turn the ball over. He can't put as much pressure on the opposing point guard, but the court seems to be spread out much better when he is in there.

I say Warren's minutes need to be cut down in games which are developing into half court battles. Also, Greggory needs to realize that you can't put "in your face pressure" on every teams point guard. The UMASS game made me want to vomit. We tried to pressure Lowe and he would go right around his defender cause our "great half court defense" to be thrown into a state of chaos leaving open shooters and/or open big men for lay ups. Finally (after Umass developed a descent lead), we played off him a little and tried to contain him.

Also, we need a post presence down low. Put Chris Wright in the post, he is not that great of a shooter or ballhandler to be playing in the 3 spot. He gets one or two touches in the post per game which isn't nearly enough.

Mark the Duquesne game down as a loss right now because Greggory won't change his game plan. Warren will play a ton of minutes while not getting any steals, he will make several bad decisions in crucial situations, and his defender will roam around the floor wreaking havoc on our half court game.

Chris wright will get ZERO set plays run to get him open (yet somehow still hit his average of 13 a game). And for some reason, Marcus Johnson will not be allowed to go one-on-one when we desperately need a bucket.

I get in arguments with other UD fans all the time. They keep saying 15-2...if it ain't broke don't fix it. Well, this team could very easily be 10-6 or 9-7 and out of the NCAA right now. Conference play is tough and beating Wofford by 1 point, Akron by 4, George Mason by 4, miami by 5, doesn't give me any confidence going into A10 season.

Not to mention it won't help your case in securing an at-large NCAA bid.

They finally hit some outside shots. Made the halfcourt offense look a little decent finally.

18-2 now. 6 home games remaining. 4 of those are likely guaranteed wins, and Seth Davis seems to think that only 1 A-10 team will make the tournament. "But if any team other than Xavier has a chance, it would be Duquesne." 13-6 Duquesne? But not 18-2 Dayton? Fucking moron.

Shows you how much he follows teams outside of the top 2-3 conferences... We beat the Dukes on the road... I think the A-10 gets 2 in... We just have to make sure that we win the ones we're supposed to... A win over XU will help big-time as well...
Can't let a team outside of us or XU win the tourney either...
