Darnay Holmes (CB New York Giants)

I'm not worried at all about how many DBs we're bringing in. We need them. We have holes to fill next year. 5-6 DBs make the rotation. You'll have Webb and a lot of openings. Ordinarily you'd be concerned about relying on freshmen, but these guys are special. I expect one or more to bite early and often.

I can see most of these guys getting serious reps and battling for the 2 deep from day 1. Going out on a limb and predicting all of our DBs are gone except Webb, and he may be fighting for his spot. We will return Ward, Arnette, Davis, Norwood, EGW, Smith and Fuller along with Webb for DBs. I could easily see Holmes, Wade, Okudah, Pryor and Williamson all push for PT early and all of them getting ST work. I could see our defensive backfield look similar to the young and hungry DBs that Urban had in 2008 with Jenkins, Black, Haden and Wright

Regardless of the talent we have brought in at DB already (and are about to with Okudah), this would be an unbelievable get. Darnay is the type of talent you just would never pass on and on top of being a tremendous CB prospect, he could just as easily be an elite WR (which if our WR's do not improve substantially, I could easily see happening).

Maybe I missed it but is there any word on when Darnay plans on announcing his commitment?

He's an early enrollee so I would assume fairly soon.
