Darnay Holmes (CB New York Giants)

No chance, Riep is in this class no matter what. As much as I like our 5 star, highly rated DB's, Riep could be the best of the bunch. And as jwins pointed out, we needed to take a high number of DB's in this class, so I think we will load up here.

I'm with you all the way. I was thrilled when we landed Riep and definitely like the talent he brings. He is definitely no slouch and he piled up offers from the elite if the elite. Just replying to the comment I quoted which mentioned Riep looking elsewhere. If that were to happen and we land Holmes, it definitely lessens the sting and the Buckeyes will be fine.

Oh ok, I hadn't heard any of that chatter, thanks for clarifying. But I love what Holmes would bring to this DB class, elite athlete that can stick like glue to quicker slot guys. He can certainly play on the outside but I would love to see this setup in the Nickel set down the road:

CB: Wade
CB: Riep
Nickel: Holmes, Williamson
FS: Okudah (he's going to end up here imo)
SS: Pryor

If 3 of 4 starting tOSU DBs declare for the NFL, one might think that would make a better case for him committing to tOSU.

The problem is, draft declaration day is after Jan 7th.
That does make sense, but getting the chance to stay home and play close to family is also very enticing. Especially for a Cali kid, to stay in Cali
