Any idea how many movies this group is signed up to do?
Nolan just goes from movie to movie when signing his contracts. The rest of the cast is signed up for one more I believe (I know Bale is, and I'm pretty sure the rest of the cast is really enthusiastic about a sequel).

And that was the second worst part of Batman and Robin next to the suit nipples. If they won't do Robin I doubt they'll do Batgirl. I think Catwoman would be great in the next one.
Batgirl's random origin of being related to Alfred wasn't the second worst part next to Bat Nipples. Ice puns, Bat Credit Card, and Bat Butts all top Batgirl's random origin.

Catwoman would be great, especially after seeing the ending to this movie.

I could see them doing either catwoman or the penguin for the next movie.

As was mentioned, the comment about holding up against cats, could have been foreshadowing. Also if you look at the comics, catwomen is very similar to batman in that she loves the city of Gotham and doesn't like people messing with it. But instead of doing things to protect the city for its good, she likes to steal from the rich for herself and help out the less advantaged. And the Selena Kyle/Bruce Wayne characters are always a interesting combo.

Now if they want to go with continuing a story from movie to movie, they could go with penguin. The reason being that in the comics the penguin has more of a mob connection and runs several "legit" places that are covers for his mob connections. With joke killing all of the mob bosses in this last movie it would open up a space for the penguin to get a foothold as a leader of the mob underworld.

Someone mentioned bane earlier. I think in any way it is going to be hard to bring bane in, especially since his best known story was when he not only destroyed batman mentally but also physically when he broke his back, leading batman to have to find someone to replace he for awhile. So I think it would be hard to do one movie around that.

I agree...Either Riddler or Penguin.

I've been trying to think of who I'd like to see play the roles...

I think it would be fucking sweet to see Jim Carrey play a much darker, less cartoon crazy and more serial killer crazy Riddler.

Maybe...Jack Black as Oswald Cobblepot?

I would love to see a more horrific Riddler. I don't feel the Penguin needs to be reprised, for me, Danny Devito's version is just fantastic. Gross, smart, dandy but crude, ugly, petty and mean but with a lot of self-hate. I think he really owned that character.

I would love to see Poison Ivy, the way she was meant to be, not the strange vine-covered smarmy vamp Uma Thurman turned her into.

It was strange, at the time, but at the theatre we went to, some of the employees were dressed up. One as Ledger's Joker, one as Scarecrow, and for no reason what so ever, one as Harley Quinn. Maybe they know something we don't know? I can't see her really standing on her own as a character however, her whole shtick was trying to impress Joker. Although.....she did work closely with Poison Ivy for awhile..............

Although not very...scary, I thought the same about Nicholson's Joker. Just sayin'.

Poison Ivy, great. But never was a fan of Harley Quinn.

I wouldn't mind Clayface or The Mad Hatter either. Clayface could make for some crazy awesome CGI too.

Mad Hatter would be interesting. I think Bane could be as well, but the story would probably have to be changed.

I didn't much care for that Riddler either. I just think he's matured as an actor to the point that he could nail a much more sinister character this time around. It wouldn't happen anyway, just thought it would be interesting.

That I do agree with.

I'd still like to see someone else take on the role if it were to happen. I think Daniel Day-Lewis could do a ridiculously awesome Ridder, but there's no way we'll see him in a Batman movie IMO.

Then again, he is going to be in a movie with Fergie...

Hugo Weaving would be a good Riddler as well.

I just got back from the movie, and even though I enjoyed it, I still think that Batman Begins was better. This movie also reinforces my opinion that Keaton was a better Batman than Bale. The "Batman voice" was unbearable at times, especially during some of the longer dialog.

Heath Ledger took this movie by the balls and made it a great movie.

There's almost no way that this movie could live up to the hype that I've been hearing all weekend, but it was still a great, very entertaining movie.

The Penguin was never really meant to be scary, he was a wanna be mobby bossy character with some really bad personal habits. :=)

Harley is an annoying character but can be appreciated in the sense she is a total invention of the Joker.

I would like this one too, as I am a fan of wicked versions of kid's characters. Wasn't this villain a tad bit....secondary however? Not able to carry a whole movie I don't think.
