My ass is very tired, that was a long movie!
Lil too much gravity?
Many people got tired of the length.
Well there goes the more cultured shtick.
Was this movie too dark?
I thought it was perfect, and they did this with plot, acting and dialogue, and skipped most of the senseless violence. Kudos.
A good movie but I don't see an Oscar for Ledger.
Why not?
And Kim Basinger was hot!
I prefer those who don't look strung out on something...
Why didn't they pick a better looking girl for the love interest?
Mary Jane was popular in Spidey 1-3, so why not snag her twin? Besides that, I thought she was cute enough.

Gotta agree with you there. When he is cutting people with the knives or the pencil or any of the other horrible things he does you don't actually see it. More so you see other people reactions, and it the suspense that leads up to the act that makes it seem even more scary. If they wanted to go over the top you would have seen more blood, you would have seen rachels burned dead body.

Just got back from "the movies. My ass is very tired, that was a long movie! Many people got tired of the length. Lady next to me started stompping her feet(they had probably fallen asleep).
Bale was decent. Ledger played a fine Joker. Script was good but too long. A good movie but I don't see an Oscar for Ledger. Why didn't they pick a better looking girl for the love interest? Was this movie too dark? I know that was the direction, but I wonder..........

My favorite Batman is still the first with Micheal Keaton and Jack Nickolson as Joker. And Kim Basinger was hot!

It's Batman...it's supposed to be dark.

Saw the movie last night... I also thought HL was an amazing Joker. I was skeptical because Jack's Joker was awesome, but Ledger was fo-nominal.

The movie was very good. They definitely tried to squeeze in every scheme twist that they could, but I guess that's forgivable. It's not an all-time movie for me, but it was definitely very good.

We also lost 3-4 minutes of dialogue (theatre's fault :smash:) at the very end. Frustrating to sit through that whole movie just to miss the resolution at the end, but I think everyone in the audience got the point.

What was your guys' favorite/funniest part of the movie...I thought the Joker breaking out of interrogation to make a phone call to blow up the guy was awesome. Smart, creative, and cunning.

Just watched it for the second time. This time in IMAX. Some of those shots are amazing in IMAX. Still rather unimpressed with the score, but I greatly enjoyed it a second time around. Better than the first.

My favorite part.. I like the Batman/Joker interrogation scene. We see Batman at his lowest point and really see what the Joker is about. Then it gets really awesome right after that, too. :tongue2:

This movie was definitely the best movie based off a comic book that i've seen. Maybe not top 5 of all time but close. If it were longer, I wouldn't have minded. My mind never drifted. The only thing I didn't like was the batman "rasp". I get it. I know why they have the bat "rasp", I just think it was overdone. If anything took me out of the movie a little bit, that would have been it. Christian Bale was great as Bruce Wayne, but as Batman...I dunno. I think it was just the voice...it was just too much. But Heath Ledger made the movie. If he does not win an oscar for this...then that would be definite BS.

I have never been a fan of superhero anything especially movies, but this is now one of my favorite movies. As everyone else is saying, Heath Ledger is absolutely brilliant as the Joker and the Joker should never be in any movie ever again simply because it would not measure up to the way Ledger played him. The best part about Ledger's performance is you can see just through his mannerisms, parts of the Joker's past according to this storyline. I love specifically the part when he meets with the mafia bosses for the first time and you can just see him as an outcast, and as a person who definitly has personality problems. Like others have also said, it is a crime if Ledger does not win awards for his performance and this makes his loss that much worse because this was such a brilliant performance.
