Katie Holmes was hot, that's all she had going for her. Not a good actress. I'm not saying Maggie is an awesome actress, but she was a big improvement over Katie Holmes as far as acting ability is concerned. Not even close..

So who would have been a better Rachel? I'm a fan of Rachel McAdams and Anne Hathaway, but that's mainly because they're hot. Not sure if either is a great actress. Maybe Eva Green to go with the rest of the British cast.

I was actually going to mention McAdams in my last post. Hathaway might have been the best choice, though.

Warner Bros. Pictures plans to rerelease blockbuster The Dark Knight in January, the height of Academy Awards voting season, says The Hollywood Reporter.

"It's just a matter of bringing it back as a reminder for people," a source told the trade.

Warners domestic distribution president Dan Fellman acknowledged ongoing talks with IMAX executives about the prospect of restoring the film to some number of giant-screen venues in January. It's uncertain if The Dark Knight also will reappear in conventional theaters at that point.

To date, the film has earned about $513 million domestically and $440 million internationally, including more than $55 million in IMAX grosses. The DVD and Blu-ray Disc are expected to hit stores in December.

The Billion-Dollar Batman

It's going to happen. Maybe it already has.
As of midweek, The Dark Knight's worldwide haul stood at a reported $997.6 million. Box office experts said that $1 billion, a mountain of money amassed by only three other movies in Hollywood history, was perhaps two weeks away.

The only three current members of Hollywood's billion-dollar club are Titanic, The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King and Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest. On the domestic side, The Dark Knight is, with Titanic, one of only two movies to pass $500 million. (Titanic, of course, also topped $600 million to claim its box office crown.)
