I know the SEC love fest gets annoying, and it is overdone, but we are now whet? - 4-1 in bowls this year, and took out Tech at a Texas Bowl venue, which is supposed to give the advantage to Tech...

I am proud of my conference, and I'd be yelling with 'em if I was there.

You need to have Big-10 teams start taking out these other teams instead of getting upset at us being happy that we are the ones who do it.

Scoreboard. It is a beautiful thing. :banger:

Fortunately, y'all will be doing just that in a very short time. :biggrin:

The SEC has been on a helluva roll in recent years and they deserve credit for it. We sure as hell can't say anything about them given our performance against them.

I mock the "SEC!" chant because it's a by product of the internet generation. Message boards have born a generation of smack talkers, and their behavior has found its way into stadiums. I don't remember ever hearing such chants, or the already tired "overrated" chant, until the last 10-15 years. The chant itself is what is funny to me.

Can't argue against what is happening on the field, though. As you said, scoreboard.

Would Ole Miss be chanting SEC if Florida and LSU had lost?

They shouldn't be chanting. Ole Miss isn't the reason that the SEC is the best.

You think the Kentucky fans are chanting SEC SEC ini the Liberty bowl down 16 to 3 with just over a minute before halftime?

Yeah. Just pullin' 'ubet's chain. :)

The conference has done well in recent performances.

But it is just weird to say the "Southeastern Conference" won, when in fact it is a team, individually matched up against another team that is winning the games, not the SEC. That implies that the SEC put their all-conference team out there and won.

Also, I'm just waiting for Tennessee Titan fans or Indianapolis Colts fans to start chanting "AFC South! AFC South! AFC South!" after their performances this year. :wink:
