If the LeClair thing doesn't work out in the goal, what are the chances of seeing Adam Burkhoel in the net? I think they are pretty good, the guy was like player of the year in the ECHL and he's a monster in the goal!

Our goalie has not been scored on in two outings. Steve Mason had a great camp and was sent packing to Juniors. I'm thinking that you're a bit crazy in asking about this kid in net anytime real soon.

I guess it just goes to show how deep the Jackets are in the goalie dept! What 3? 4 deep?!? That's pretty crazy.

I'd think an extended period of playing time in the AHL would be in order before we begin talking about a guy as an adequate fill-in in the NHL.

That being said, I've never seen the guy play and all I'm looking at is minor-league stats. I've never even seen of the guy as a legit prospect in jimotis's prospect thread.

Color me very, very skeptical.

Family friend of Buckeye89Fan.

Nah, he just carried the Bombers on his back all the way to the Kelly Cup Finals last season.. Going further back in his career he won a National Championship with Denver in 2003-2004.. Young player, loads of potential.

Phoenix is a team the CBJ should beat. Last year they would have struggled and possibly lost against them. 3-0 was the score, but outside of the shots on goal difference, the Jackets pretty much dominated this one.

This was the best game Nik Zherdev has played since at least last year, probably longer. He was physical, he was making decisions and he was strong with the puck. If he can play like that, it will really help the Jackets in the Central and the West.

If LeClaire can stay healthy, he's the 3rd best goalie in the Central (Ok I'm biased, but Hasek and Osgood are better due to experience primarily)......
what about mason down in trashville?

first and foremost at this point what do the blue jackets have in common with the dayton bombers? NOTHING (yes i used caps) they are not affliated with dayton, elmira jackals. secondly one maybe two players on that team have a shot at the nhl. if they had a shot theyd be in the ahl in syracuse. if one of the two netminders goes down with an injury id expect howson to kick himself so har he will no longer look like he belongs on star wars, then hed trade for a crappy backup the quality of a conklin or boucher. since paski joined the q no one has questioned his ability, its his durability, time will tell

My bad... Apparently Burkhoel isn't as good I thought he was... :(
