College Football Playoff (2015-16 Season)

Until they play the Tar Heels. All Hell will break loose like it always does.
Not sure how their play UNC will cause them to drop...they've won 5 of the 6 meetings since 2002 and they scored a ton in those wins (average 48 ppg):

11/09/2002, 42-12
10/25/2003, 36-28
09/23/2006, 52-7

10/09/2010, 16-21
10/22/2011, 59-38
09/27/2014, 50-35

I'd love to be wrong, but I don't see UNC even hanging with Clemson...

I've seen UNC, they're legit-ish.
Which would even lessen the chance of Clemson dropping, barring a loss. If the media/committee gave credit to their winning by 10 against a shit team in Syracuse, then they'll get Barclay-level credit for any win over mid-teens UNC...and watch what happens to us if we "struggle" to a low double-digit win against a #9 Sparty team.

Just win baby. Carolina winning would potentially put Notre Dame over Clemson, now that would be funny.

Does any of it matter? If you think we are the best team in college football, then it doesn't matter where we are seeded.

And frankly, if we are NOT the best team in college football, it won't matter either.
eh....not really true. If the #4 team can take out whoever actually is the best team in CFB this year (pretending for a second it's not us), then I'm all for that. UConn won a title in basketball recently because the best teams didn't quite make it far enough to even play them. I doubt UConn fans care.

No doubt that if we win out through the B1G CCG, we're in...I'm just referring to Clemson not dropping unless they lose. It would be sweet as fuck, though.

Clemson would have no "but we won head-to-head" room to whine about ND jumping them if they do lose to UNC, seeing as they only beat ND by two points at home, barely avoiding OT thanks to ND failing on a two-point conversion with seven seconds left in the game. ND also had 136 more yards of offense.

Ok. I guess I just see a certain amount of talk about rankings and from my perspective, if we are the best, it'll show regardless of seed. If not, then that will show too.

If we are included in the top 4, nothing else really matters and if we are the cream, we will rise to the top.

It does make it harder to hide in a field of 4 rather than 64.

I think there's a very good chance that if osu wins out they are #1. And really, the committee would love that. If Bama and osu are #2 and #3 their would be a rematch, which would be great. But if osu is #1 that rematch could be for the National championship. The ratings for that game... Wow I can see the committees collective boner from here. Less Condoleezza of course.

For OSU being #1, I think it would have been a mortal lock if msu didn't lose to Nebraska and if Iowa wins out (would have been against a top 5, top 10ish, and top 5 opponent to finish out), but I still think it's a good shot. Especially if UM and then msu beat psu and Iowa wins out. Would still be a top 10, top 10ish, and top 5 finish. Waaaaay better than Clemson or Bamas finish.

In fact, there's a good chance they leap Bama this week since they play an fcs team this weekend. And if they don't, then they would after beating UM since Auburn is awful.

As for jumping Clemson, I don't think they would after beating msu, but may after beating UM. And if they don't then, I would expect them to jump Clemson after they beat Iowa, if Iowan is undefeated. Maybe even if Iowa only has one loss.

There is a very high probability OSU will jump Bama. The team they are playing runs the triple option very well. They will score points.
