I can understand Rick's pending departure considering where he is, but I find it hard to understand Wazzou. Who in the blue blazes wants to go to Pullman? :sick1:

Are we talking about Leach going to Pullman? Umm... didn't the guy last work in Lubbock? I've never been to Pullman, but, yeah, Lubbock's REAL NICE.

I wasn't commenting directly on Leach. But in comparing the two, at least, Lubbock is in a state that has a tremendous amount of talent. Washington... not so much.

Washington has talent. Oh, we're not talking about baseball?

Wazzu needs someone with a gimmick offense and I suggest they try to get the Air Force or Navy coaches. Seriously.

Rich Rod on Sirius right now talking about what it takes to build a championship team.

I'm like, "What the eff does he know about building a championship team?"

And no...the Big East DON'T count. Just look at it this year. Nuff Said...

A couple of small jobs that might entice some assistants.
UAB coach resigns
Neil Callaway has resigned as football coach at Alabama-Birmingham.
Athletic director Brian Mackin announced the move after the Blazers completed a 3-9 season. In Callaway?s five seasons as coach, the Blazers went 18-42.

Memphis drops Porter
Memphis has fired coach Larry Porter after going 3-21 in two seasons leading his alma mater.
Porter?s firing came after Saturday?s 44-7 loss at Southern Mississippi, leaving the Tigers 2-10 this season. Fan interest in the program has been diminishing ? an estimated 2,500 showed up for the Tigers? home finale against Marshall on Nov. 17. That increased pressure for a change.
Porter played running back at Memphis from 1990-93. He spent five years on the LSU coaching staff under Les Miles where he had a reputation as one of the top recruiters in the nation.

Rick Neuheisel out at UCLA

UCLA fired coach Rick Neuheisel on Monday after four disappointing seasons in charge of his alma mater.
Neuheisel will be allowed to coach the Bruins (6-6, 5-4 Pac-12) in Friday's Pac-12 title game at Oregon (No. 9 BCS, No. 8 AP) , athletic director Dan Guerrero announced. Offensive coordinator Mike Johnson will be the Bruins' interim coach if they receive a bowl berth.

Well, Newheisel can take comfort in the fact that even though his alma mater doesn't want him there, the people of Nazareth didn't want Jesus there, either. In fact, they tried to throw him off a cliff.

Cept, he has a better winning percentage than Newheisel.....never mind...
