So we get back a shortstop who can’t hit and 2 minor leaguers for both Lindor and Carrasco :slappy:

Apparently winning games 0-4 is the new strategy

Given the market for prospects, this is a pretty good haul. That said, the short term results are gonna be 0-4 losses.

I knew Lindor was going to be dealt, but there is little to no reason to part with Carrasco. You can't even say with a straight face that making this trade will help the franchise. It's as if the Dolans put together a think tank to decide what would piss off the fans the most, and then just went out and did it. Are we sure Rachel Phelps isn't part of the ownership group?

Nothing about this makes sense at all.

Why not WAIT until teams are actually willing to pony up more instead of throwing a big old fuck you to everyone and just saying "ok first offer we get accept it"

Trying to sneak this in in the shadow of an attempted insurrection. Very clever...

Carrasco was probably why they got any high end guys at all. They got their #9-#10 prospects from 2020 and Gimenez was their #3 in 2019.

Go look what the Cubs got for Yu Darvish.

Lindor really isn't that valuable as a trade commodity, he's gonna cost 20 million and be a FA. Why not just wait and pay him?

For anyone who wants to legit throw out the "its not that bad of a haul" claim

Ahmed Rosario - a career .302 OBP which is pretty bad (league average in 2019 was .323) MIGHT get you 15 HR if you're lucky and a few SB. pretty much a black hole in a offense that is already a black hole

Andres Giminez - played in the short season last year, was the first time he had played above AA. .317 OBP with little/no power in 2 AA seasons. Another offensive black hole.

Prospect SP Josh Wolf who is anywhere between 9th-11th in the mets prospect rankings depending on who you ask. I guess he has "high upside" but also needs a "ton of work" Joy

and another fringe organizational top 10 prospect in OF Isaiah Greene who is another raw teenager who needs "a lot of work"

Does this really look like a "good haul" for a elite SS and a guy you could say is a legit #2 starter?

At least the Darvish trade included a legit MLB pitcher (Zach Davies)
