Ok, I mean its not to say that Baseball doesn't have bad shit associated with it. But this also isn't exactly a Washington politics beat either... (And certainly baseball isnt insulated from general investigative journalists, and certainly not op ed writers)

But, I don't really think if you walked up to most MLB beat writers, nevermind BBWAA members, too many of them are going to say, "well, you know I coulda been the guy to break watergate, but they gave me the damned Norfolk Tides beat, and here we are."

So Nick Francona basically wants a witch hunt by baseball writers? Why would you go out of your way to "hold people accountable in a uncomfortable way" if there was nothing there saying you should do it. In your particular situation as a reporter.

I'm not saying stuff doesn't happen but nobody should be out trying to manufacture situations in the name of "wokeness" or whatever. Just because one bad thing did happen to happen.

GOV. MIKE DEWINE IS OPTIMISTIC ABOUT CROWDS AT SPORTING EVENTS, SAYS CLEVELAND INDIANS GAMES COULD BE AT FULL CAPACITY

Ohio State played every home football game this season in front of over 100,000 empty seats, but it's looking like those seats could be filled once again come next fall.

Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine met with the media in Cleveland on Friday to discuss Ohio's response to the COVID-19 pandemic. During his appearance, he expressed optimism about the potential for crowds at outdoor sporting events.

If Ohio continues to trend in the right direction with regards to case numbers and vaccination rates, DeWine told Ben Axelrod of WKYC that Cleveland Indians baseball games could even be at full capacity by July 4.

"I've described Opening Day in Cleveland -- Indians at 30 percent capacity, but we could be moving away from that by May 1," DeWine said. "I would hope by the time we get to July 4, we might be full capacity."

Ohio Governor Mike DeWine said on Friday that Cleveland Indians games could be at full capacity again by July.

When the Cleveland Indians host their home opener at Progressive Field next month, they'll do so at 30 percent capacity.

But according to Ohio Governor Mike DeWine, it may not be long until Cleveland's ballpark is allowed to fully reopen.

Speaking in East Cleveland on Friday, DeWine discussed the state's ongoing response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and the road ahead. In doing so, he revealed that should Ohio remain on the right path, it's not unrealistic to think that outdoor stadiums -- including Progressive Field -- could be hosting fans at full capacity by July.

"I've described Opening Day in Cleveland -- Indians at 30 percent capacity, but we could be moving away from that by May 1," DeWine said. "I would hope by the time we get to July 4, we might be full capacity."

According to DeWine, whether that happens will come down to the ongoing distribution of the COVID-19 vaccine.

"It depends on how many people get vaccinated," he said.
