Cleveland There’s Always Next Years (2021 Season)

Nothing like a series against the Orioles to prepare the Tribe for a series in Pittsburgh. :pirate:

The Pirates have lost 10 in a row, so drunken fan fights may be more interesting than the games this weekend.

Pirates starting another 0-4 pitcher with an ERA over 6.50. Surely, they can't make it two in a row after scoring a week's worth of runs last night.

The worst part is Shaw was facing the weak part of the Pirates lineup and still got nowhere close to recording an out. Shaw might be a big Spider Tack guy ... possible DFA candidate if he doesn't right the ship soon.

Quantrill did fine. Bryan Shaw, on the other hand ...
So, Cal Quantrill pitches five shutout innings, the bullpen gives up two hits, and the Tribe blasts three home runs. Easy win, right?

Not so fast, my friend. The bullpen also gave up SIX walks (all in the 7th inning), and the two hits surrendered were three-run bombs. On the other hand, the Indians' three home runs were all solo shots. Final: Pirates 6, Indians 3

Cleveland takes the Sunday game 2-1, narrowly avoiding being the first team to be swept by the Pirates in a three-game series this season.
