McKenzie has some good potential though, I don't think its worth totally wrecking his confidence just in a desperate flyer attempt to save this season.

Nice start for J.C. Mejia last night. Got off to a shaky start in the first but gave the Tribe six innings of one run ball (6 Ks). Reminder that the guy had 9 innings above High A ball under his belt before getting called up to the bigs.

Potential? Absolutely! Ready for return to Cleveland? Nope. His last 2 starts for Cbus he lasted only 3 and 4 innings, respectively, and walked 4 in each game.
McKenzie will be 24 years old in August, but due to injuries and Covid-19 has only 16 career starts at AA and 3 at AAA. I hope they break down and rebuild his mechanics and get him ready for next year.
