Cleveland There’s Always Next Years (2021 Season)

Another dumpster dive attempt at possibly putting together a "rotation"

Godley comes with a 4.92 career ERA. He started 1 game for the Brewers this season. Compiling a 16.20 ERA in 3 1/3 innings. In 2020 he started 8 games for the Red Sox, going 0-4 with a 8.16 ERA

I'm sure Godley is not being seen as a long-term guy for Cleveland. Just need warm bodies to throw out there at this point; however, I'm not quite sure why a journeyman vet is a better option than giving another young pup from the minors a shot.

Harold Ramirez is a good offensive player. He has been played out of position in CF, and his defensive instincts need some work, but as long as he is at one of the corner outfield spots, Cleveland may have gotten a keeper in the OF for a bargain.

These guys are doomed after seeing how they performed in these games against terrible Twins and Tigers teams.

Better hope Bieber, Civale and Plesac get back real quick are they are gonna fall way behind quick.

The “Like” option needs a new word. I don’t really “Like” what Buckeyemania wrote in the sense that I’ll enjoy seeing the Tribe lose games. But I fully agree with what he wrote.

They aren't a contender to win the pennant, but the AL Central continues to be a very winnable division. Chicago is leading, but they have some key injuries and they are losing just enough to keep the door cracked open for Cleveland. As you said the Tigers, Twins and Royals are even more flawed than the Indians.

Jose Ramirez just fouled a ball off his own face. Dude swung on an inside pitch and it bounced off the top of his bat and went directly into his cheek. He stayed in the game to finish the at-bat.
Never saw anything like that before in a baseball game and I have been watching baseball for quite a few decades. Cannot believe Francona left him in the game for another 1/2 inning as his jaw swelled up. José is one tough dude.

I just keep reminding myself that despite the Indians having the lowest payroll, being the second youngest team, their starting pitching has been a mess, and multiple starting positional players are working their way back from injury, they are still just a few games out of the division lead.

I wonder what they could get in a trade for Zimmer and Hernandez. Getting tired of watching Zimmer at the plate trying to hit a fastball thrown right down the middle. Granted he can run but the Indians have to have someone in their system who can run just as fast.
Hernandez certainly is not the same player that he was last year. Granted his power numbers are probably up but his batting average is way down and he is a liability playing second base. Maybe he should go to CF for Zimmer.
