Cleveland There’s Always Next Years (2021 Season)

At the moment, in regular season games since the start of the 2018 season to present, Cleveland has gone 55 games over .500 against the AL Central, while they have lost one more than they have won against the rest of MLB in this timespan. That stat even includes all the games against the bottom feeder teams from other divisions.
So they are 54 games over .500 in less than 3 seasons?

But they get their butt kicked by other good teams? You know that's how it works, right?

I would say that over nearly four seasons worth of games, the Indians average being 13 games over .500 each season, but their "above average" performance is wholly due to beating up on a weak AL Central. In comparison with the rest of MLB, they are a .500 team. That is exactly how it is.

You can't even do math.

There's no nearly 4 seasons since the beginning of 2018. There's not even 3 you fucking unmitigated twit.

I’ll just say this…if there was ever a sport where the old Parcells adage that you are what your record says you are, it’s baseball, where they play a million games…the Indians went from running joke with a joke of a farm system to one of the most consistent teams in baseball…that’s no accident.

The Indians actually don't have difficult decisions to make this trade deadline. They're clearly not a player or two away from winning the AL, so they're obviously not going to be buyers. They have no particularly high paid players that are performing well and free agents at the end of the year or after next year, so they don't have anybody that really makes sense as a trade chip. Nobody will trade even a halfway decent prospect for a half-season rental of Eddie Rosario or Cesar Hernandez. There is too much team control on cheap contracts to give up any of the best players on the team without a huge return, which no one will agree to. I would be surprised if Cleveland makes any big trades this month.

Yea this is a year where no moves would definitely be a good thing. Unless maybe they can swindle a decent prospect for a Rosario or Hernandez.

Hopefully they don't get stupid and trade any good prospects foolishly thinking they will be able to make the playoffs and compete for a WS.
