He's only a restricted free agent next year if he sits out the whole year. So he could get Portland or Philly to give him a one year max contract offer as a "favor" to Rich Paul. But who knows why the team would do that for Rich Paul.
So a multiple year offer has to be eminent.
Lebron getting a shot in the back is not a good thing and I do not care if he got one last January when he took his 2 week hiatus. Any time you start fooling with a back you are living dangerously and I did not stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.
A person very close to me kknows quite a bit about the back and has dealt with a number of people with back issues. I have learned quite a bit from this person about backs and once you start messing with a back it is not a good situation. I hope I am wrong and I agree with everything else you stated in your post especially regarding TT.It's never good when your best player isn't at 100%, but I think a lot of this is to give him the 2+ weeks off that he took last January now rather than during the season. Maybe that will help get the spring in his step from the first game and they can avoid him having to sit out for an extended period during the season. I think they also think they aren't going to be able to limit his minutes as much to start the season so it's better if he starts the season rested.
