Supposedly Philly wants Wiggins bad. That is their target for #1.

I could do #3 & #10, I don't want Young. And really... if they don't want to give both picks up this year, then the MINIMUM I would take is #3, Young or Noel AND their unprotected 1st rounder for next year and maybe another 1st rounder lottery protected after that.

The Cavs have to realize they are in the driver's seat for one of the most talent laden drafts in years. Keep asking for the moon until you get it from someone.

I want Embiid pretty bad, I think I have made that clear, but with that being said I agree with Piney, we are in the drivers seat and we possibly could get a ton of value for this pick, and there are a lot of very good players in this draft. Whatever will improve the team the most I am for.

The last time the #1 pick was traded on draft night, it took the #3 pick and two future 1st rounders (ie the Chris Webber/Penny Hardaway trade)

I would honestly consider trading our #1 for the #3 and #10, we would still get an elite 3, then would have another lottery pick in this deep draft... heck we could also try a way to trade up from 10 to a little higher too if need be. I think the distance between Wiggins, Parker, and Embiid is so close that it wouldn't hurt at all going to 3 unless our organization feels they have a surefire above and beyond #1 guy and they can't possibly get him at 3

There have been differing reports on the severity of Embiid's back injury. Sam Amico reported that Embiid's injury is minor and the Cavs will take him. ESPN Cleveland says that the injury is damning and the Cavs will pass on him.

This is the guy they want, and if they don't take him, i really wonder what will happen. Dealing the pick seems foolish to me - as the best player available is Kevin Love and I wouldn't even consider a trade unless he signed a deal with the Wolves first. Renting a player who has never made the playoffs in his career for a single year doesn't seem like a winning strategy. Meanwhile Parker and Wiggins are set to workout with the Cavs this week, which could point to ESPN Cleveland's report being true, or it could just be customary workouts of the top prospects.

Philly and Boston also want the pick, but they offer next to nothing. Unless they're dealing years and years of first rounders, I wouldn't even pick up the phone.

I know the void under the basket is a big deal, but I'd still take Wiggins at number one. Nobody knows what LeBron is going to do this year or next, and the best type of player to build around is a wing player in today's NBA. Wiggins offers us a chance at something spectacular no matter what happens with Irving or Waiters in the future. Parker makes less sense to me because of a lower ceiling and the fact that he would have nowhere to play on the off chance that LeBron returns.

Whether or not I'm right about this, I just hope the franchise makes the right decisions. They've made the wrong ones for as many as 10 years now, and it's tiring to watch as a Cavs fan.

You can dismiss the ESPN Cleveland report since it is from Rizzo. Enough national and other local guys have refuted WKNR's report. Rizzo knows next to nothing about the NBA and it fits his narrative about not wanting Embiid, as Rizzo has stated he would jump off the I-480 bridge if the Cavs picked them.

The only dangerous item about the Rizzo report is he does know people that know Dan Gilbert. So the question is, is Gilbert's camp telling Rizzo this? And if so, why? Is Gilbert meddling and doesn't want Embiid and is trying to get that message out? OR, they really want Embiid and trying to use some somescreen stuff?

And I am starting to love Embiid more and more (and I started out loving him)... he was tweeting about watching Duncan and loving his game and trying to emulate him. For those that say big men don't win anymore... how do you explain Duncan? Yes he has players around him, but I am starting to think a Kyrie/Embiid pairing could be a championship tandem.

Also, about them working out Parker and Wiggins... of course the Cavs should work them out... even if they plan on picking Embiid... You still have to bring them in to cover all bases about your scouting evaluations.

Time to take a break about the #1 pick... coaching search seems to be wrapping up. Current reports say it is down to Gentry, Lue and David Blatt? With Blatt's interview set for Wednesday, we will probably have our new coach by the end of the week. So, who is your guy?

Of the 3, I prefer Lue right now. But what I hear about Blatt intrigues me... but don't know enough about him. Anyone have anything about him? Seems like some other boards really like him. And of course this means we will get Gentry... ugh

Probably the only thing I know about Blatt is the same stuff that you have read on Cleveland.com. He has been called a offensive genius so that certainly is better than old Mike Brown and he has been very successful in foreign competition when he has had lesser talent. If I were the Cavs, I would take a new face and not another retread assistant.
