Cleveland Cavs (2016 NBA Champions)

The new trend will be to cookie cutter the Spurs
So, start with Blatt (Israel).. boomerang fella, born Boston; college here in Princeton; coached Israel, Russia, Israel, Italy, Turkey, Israel !!!!
Throw in Varejao (Brazil), add a couple Canadiens (Bennett & Thompson) ; Karasev (Russia); Dellavedova (Australia); need to keep Deng (Sudan); and Irving interestingly was born in Australia
but we need to get a LOT more foreigners.. since obviously they understand the TEAM concept better than US dudes.. and can shoot

Well both guys they are looking at with the #1 pick fit what you are looking for.

IMO.. THE most important ingredient we are missing.. is a Popovich
We're a mess as far as a team is concerned.. and without a strategist, teacher and motivator...
We need a coach who can reconstruct Irving.. Iverson could score 75 but was unable to create a TEAM...
The Spurs are a function of Popovich...
I want one

Not to get away from the coaching discussion, but what about the rumors that came out last week about the Cavs being worried about Embiid's back? The only thing better that drafting your guy at #1 is fooling another team into trading a kings ransom to move up 2 spots to draft their guy so that you can go ahead and draft your guy at #3. Only way that works is to make said team think that their guy is also your guy.

And to make sure the team drafting at #2 doesn't pick the guy you traded down to #3 to get. And THAT is the problem... Milwaukee is sure to take Embiid, unless they really want Parker... which is #3 on my board.

But if you can get a kings ransom... I am fine with it.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Why Embiid... why??? dang it...

So hop along the Wiggins train... and Philly... the price just doubled

This could end up working out well for the Cavs. With the #1 pick it would suck if the player you really want has too many red flags to draft at #1, but if the Sixers really think Wiggins is they guy they need they now have a legit fear that the Cavs will draft him. With the Cavs all over a healthy Embiid and the Bucks rumored to like Parker the Sixers could have sat back and hoped Wiggins fell to them. With Embiid hurt #3 will be too low to get they guy they really want. If I'm the Cavs I ask for #3, either #10 or unprotected first rounder next year, and a player (preferably Noel) to trade down.

This foot injury was discovered by the Cavs doctors. Suffered within the last few days...hmm
What if...its a smokescreen
Cavs could get #3 and #10 from Sixers. (maybe more)
They would take Embiid at #3. Plus another dynamic player are #10.

Cavs would be getting the guy they wanted all along plus a free lottery pick.
If Sixers decline the deal, take embiid #1. (If its a smokescreen)

Otherwise if Embiid DID actually break his foot...Hope Cavs draft Wiggins.
If its a smokescreen, could be a genius way of getting a free lottery pick.
