Cleveland Cavs (2016 NBA Champions)

I said it the day Durant signed with the Warriors, and they had to deplete virtually their entire bench from their two Finals runs... One of their big names gets hurt (significant injury), it's over.

I couldn't fucking believe ESPN was trying to say Durant was one of the favorites to win MVP this season, Vegas even has him as the second favorite. How can he be considered an MVP candidate when by February 28th of last year, they were 53-5. Same time this year: 50-10. The Warriors offensive efficiency increases when Durant isn't on the floor.

The Cavaliers don't get better when LeBron is out of the game, they get much, MUCH worse. I don't think there's any question who the MVP is this year. (And before you say Russell Westbrook... You can't just give it to a player because he gets a lot of triple doubles. Because let's face it, the Thunder aren't really that good even with his crazy stat lines.)

Hopefully Warriors fans hate Bogut as much during the Finals as we did Andy last year as long as we win again. It's fun to go from no depth to a ton of depth over a few weeks. There are going to be some minute battles leading up to the playoffs.

Kyrie, JR, Lebron, Love, TT
Deron W, Korver, Shump, Derrick W, Frye
RJ, Bogut

A slump by anyone outside of the starters could knock any of them out of the rotation. Even JR might find his minutes limited if he can't knock the rust off.
The warriors darn near won 2 finals off of their depth. They had 4-5 guys that could come off the bench and be the spark. They lost most of that to get Durant. Last year we needed our starters to put in 35-45 minutes and Lebron Irving and love all playing over 40. Now we've got the bench and didn't have to give up any star power to do it. How much of their bench are they going to have to give up next year when curry goes from 12M to 36M and Durant opts out to make more? Oh joy.

I know it's early but team does not function well with D Williams at point.. they're slow..
Shump is consistently inconsistent
They're using so many combinations, they are completely lost on defense

Im so frustrated seeing bogut get hurt.
TBH Bogut gave me flashbacks of Perkins the way he was moving out of sync. He did not look good in his :58 second cav career. I have no idea why he stuck his leg out in front of a driving player. He would bang knees every play doing that shit. Then he got that foul running backwards into a defender.

Maybe he was just rusty or maybe he forgot how to move like that baffoon 9 step travel Perkins.

Im pissed.
We need to waive him now and sign someone else.
I would still take a shot at Sanders.

I'd bring Sanders in on a 10 day contact or 2. If he looks playable I'd try to get him to sign a 2 year non guaranteed deal. Much more upside than Bogut, but a ton of baggage.
