This should require a 30 or 30 "what if I told you....bla bla bla"

Remember that the Cavs are currently missing 20 PPG and 10 RPG with Love out. Him coming back is going to make a huge difference.

JR is technically back, but still rusty so they are missing his production. Sounds like they aren't really expecting anything from Sanders during the regular season. He's going to play as much as he can in Canton to get his legs under him and practice with the Cavs to get used to the guys. I'd look for him to start showing up in Cleveland in April so TT can rest before the playoffs. As long as this team can get healthy by the playoffs and stay that way through the playoffs I feel good.
The best thing about the DWill2 and Sanders signings is it brings in young talent rather than more old guys. DWill2 has been around long enough to know what a good situation is so I'm guessing he'll give the Cavs a discount to stay on the team. The Cavs already have an option for Sanders next year so hopefully he can get back to where he was before his break and then likes this team enough to work something out to stay here.
Sanders is stick thin...So is KD, so dont let that fool you.
He has all the physical tools. Its his mental awareness that needs reps. He is beyond rusty. He wont have any real impact this year, not enough game reps. But next year he will be fun to watch.
Im hoping we use the mle to keep Korver. Trade shump for a bkup pg. Resign bird as 3rd center.
Neither Williams will be with the Cavs next year. The Cavs don't have the bird's rights for either, and neither is taking the vet minimum or tax payer mle.
Keep in mind that at least some of the MLE is also going to be needed to pay Cedi Osman, the Cavs' high second round pick from 2015. He's been targeting the 2017-18 season to make his debut stateside and the Cavs are quite fond of him, evidenced by the fact the team didn't deal him at the deadline despite some glaring roster needs. He'll be able to provide an infusion of young talent on the wing but, because he was a second rounder, there is no rookie scale contract that can be exempt under the tax rules and it's going to take more than the minimum to convince him to play in the NBA.DWill2 only got 5 mil from the Heat last year in the summer that Timo and Delly got big money and couldn't get minutes. Half a season of playing well with Lebron isn't going to make him that much more money because everyone looks good next to Lebron. I don't know that Delly and Timo are making much of a case for throwing money at Cavs role players. I haven't found concrete numbers on the MLE's for next year, but I did see that they are going up 45%. That would at least get the Cavs in the zone of what DWill2 got from the Heat. The elder DWill will have the option of taking a minimum contract to play for a championship or take more money to play for a playoff spot. I won't lose sleep if he leaves since there will likely be someone else bought out next winter that can fill the backup role if Felder doesn't develop. Quinn Cook is another guy they've been developing on the Charge that could challenge for backup PG.
