Cleveland Cavs (2016 NBA Champions)

Man how cool have Mozgov and Delly been? Not a single peep from them about lack of playing time or any such crap. They've been up on their feet yelling and screaming for their teammates the entire playoffs. Definitely want to see them come back. Maybe not Moz as much but love Delly's energy, hope he is still a Cav next year. I don't know who's got contracts and who doesnt other than Thompson and Kyrie.

A lot of people are giving Love credit for guarding Curry one-on-one in the final minute... but doesn't it make it worse that he is clearly capable of playing solid D and hustling as that sequence demonstrated, but apparently chooses not to most of the time?

At this particular moment?

No.

:slappy: OK, I do give them credit for being team guys, but Delly complaining would be the equivalent of me complaining that I didn't get Jennifer Garner after she dropped Ben Afleck

This title takes an enormous amount of pressure off of Cleveland. You have to wonder how much the weight of the "curse" impacted the Tribe in 1995, 1997, and 2007. They were the hope. The nineties Tribe teams seemed destined to end the curse. Loaded with talent, and the whole city behind them. The 2007 team probably didn't have the same pressure because LeBron was still here and just getting started. But, my God, that was a massive choke job in that ALCS. And had they held on against Boston, I have no doubt they would have rolled the Rockies just like the Red Sox did. They were that much better. But all of that pressure has been relieved now. Maybe the Tribe and the clowns (LOL) can actually get it together. Hell, this scrappy Tribe team is still in first place in mid-June. They have a terrific pitching staff and a legitimate young superstar in Frankie Lindor.

The Cavs are the Kings of Cleveland. They actually fucking did it. It's still kind of unreal.
Had the same thoughts this morning when I woke up. Now, I'm not going to get Boston-level pompous and think Cleveland will win everything, but this really was so so much more than a Cavs win. That pressure was real and it only got more real as each passing year and great team fell short.

And that's what makes LeBron immortal. He had the weight of the city and ALL their sports teams and he really did it.

Maybe Lebron will deliver it to him personally.

"Andy, I got something for you....

... its on my Johnson."

*Flop*

I guess Andy will have to wear it on a necklace. Too big for Andy's wittle handy.

The announcers said at one point in the series that if the Cavs win, the team gets to decide whether or not Varejao gets a ring. Him and Lebron are supposedly close but I would definitely not give him one with all his shenanagins he pulled in the finals.
I'm not fond of the way Andy carried himself in the Finals. But, he's one of those guys you love if he's on your team and HATE if he's not...like Delly. Varajao was a big part of this organization for a decade. He was one of my favorites for years. He should get a ring.
