Pro Basketball no longer considered one of the "Top Sports" reports Cincinnati fan.

In a reversal of decades-long accepted thought, professional basketball is no longer considered one of the major sports in the United States reports Cincinnati fan. "It doesn't check off any of the boxes, no major players, not followed internationally, it's just not important" says Cincinnati fan.

When pressed for more details, Cincinnati fan was unable to respond because they were busy trying to finish a haiku with the words "still 52 years"

Hey everyone, please don't tell @buckeyesin07.....

Yep, he played like a top-5 NBA player again last night, just like he has every night since that ridiculous assertion was first made. But, again, thanks for singling me out for holding an opinion that was (is?) held by half this board.

Whatever, dude. Grind your axe all you want. I'd rather celebrate the title. Go Cavs.

Hell, if any sport here meets that criteria it's the NFL. You could easily argue basketball is bigger than baseball - the only sport Cincinnati has won at the pro level - internationally.

This title takes an enormous amount of pressure off of Cleveland. You have to wonder how much the weight of the "curse" impacted the Tribe in 1995, 1997, and 2007. They were the hope. The nineties Tribe teams seemed destined to end the curse. Loaded with talent, and the whole city behind them. The 2007 team probably didn't have the same pressure because LeBron was still here and just getting started. But, my God, that was a massive choke job in that ALCS. And had they held on against Boston, I have no doubt they would have rolled the Rockies just like the Red Sox did. They were that much better. But all of that pressure has been relieved now. Maybe the Tribe and the clowns (LOL) can actually get it together. Hell, this scrappy Tribe team is still in first place in mid-June. They have a terrific pitching staff and a legitimate young superstar in Frankie Lindor.

The Cavs are the Kings of Cleveland. They actually fucking did it. It's still kind of unreal.

Go wipe that egg off your face.

That's rich, coming from someone who claimed the Cavs were in the middle of an "epic meltdown" against the Raptors.

Love had a solid overall game last night and certainly played good defense at times. I guess we we'll have to disagree on whether that, and averaging 8.5 ppg and 6.8 rpg in the Finals, justifies his hefty contract. Last thing I'll mention is that you should take a stroll through pages 463-65 of this thread; as I said before, there are plenty of others around here with whom you will disagree.

Still shitty.

You're welcome.
