What's kind of funny is that last summer, this was being talked up as one of the best qb classes to come along in years...comparable to 2004. Rosen/Darnold were all but written in stone as the top two picks with Allen as a wildcard. Then the season happened. Darnold turned the ball over at an alarming rate and laid a couple eggs in big games. Rosen dealt with injuries and questions about his attitude sprung up. Allen had a very "meh" year, not making the on field leap many expected. They all three got lapped by a smallish guy from an air raid offense that was viewed as a day 2 or 3 pick going into the season. Mayfield didn't even start rocketing up the charts until everybody started tearing down the supposed "big three." I view all four as significant gambles as opposed to guys you can fairly certainly look at as your franchise savior that you typically hope for taking them that high.

I was really impressed with Mayfield's press conference today. Cleveland's beat writers suck ass though.

I’ve never been a Mayfield fan. But reading some of the pieces done on him over the past couple of weeks profiling his path from a walk-on at Texas Tech becoming a true fresh starter, to Oklahoma where he became one of the most productive qbs of all-time to the number one pick in the nfl draft, I have developed a grudging respect for him.

Yeah, surprisingly this should finally be the guy Browns fans actually get behind. Didn't know enough/ignored everything about him because he was wearing opposing colors. But learning his story- this is a tough kid that wasn't handed anything. Polar opposites of a drunk high school Manziel that had his parents bribe him to stay sober with a sportscar (or whatever).

Back to the draft. Love the Chubb pick. Especially realizing Guice is a headcase. Didn't he lie about evaluators asking him inappropriate questions? NFL came out and said there was no evidence of that. Good idea to lie to and smear future employers, kid.

Really really want Hubbard.

I think you guys killed it today. Everyone knows my opinion on the Barkley deal but with picking up Chubb, I think that it all evens out. He was a great pick, I like him way more than Guice personally. I think Chubb is a 1st round talent.

But I have to say, I won't apologize on the Bengals taking Hubbard. I'm ecstatic we're finally realizing that drafting Buckeyes is a great idea. Shocking.
