Who is Antonio Callaway, the Florida wide receiver drafted by the Cleveland Browns?

He was one of nine Florida players suspended last season while being investigated for alleged credit card fraud. A year earlier, he faced sexual assault allegations and a subsequent Title IX hearing. Callaway was found “not responsible” in that hearing — which was overseen by a judge who also happened to be a booster for the Florida athletics program. Callaway was also cited in May for marijuana possession during a traffic stop while in the car with a man who has a lengthy rap sheet. He pleaded no contest to possession of paraphernalia and accepted a fine.

And in the days leading up to the draft, ESPNand the NFL Network both reported Callaway had a diluted drug sample at the NFL Combine.

Also seems like the timing of the jarvis Landry acquisition coincides with the decision to take Mayfield. Will probably see Duke as 4th receiver quite a bit.

Meantime... Starting to take high risk/high reward guys. Maurice Hurst... Which seems like a heck of a good gamble.... And Antonio Callaway... Meh don't really need those headaches.

I’m with you. No harm done with the Hurst pick. Tons of upside. The Browns could do worse.

Apparently one talented but dumbass receiver wasn't enough. Now they take a criminal as well. I would have been hesitant to spend a 6th or 7th on him let alone a 4th.

with the talent that Callaway possesses, it is worth a fourth round gamble and it is quite a gamble but Dorsey has done this before in KC so we shall see

I just can't stand the chump bullshit excuse from Dorsey...

"Uhh uhh, character uhh matters. But it's uhhh, on a case by case basis".

We get it. We'll overlook some shit for talent and pray to Christ we find a teammate to babysit him in the off-season.

You really think all teams in the NFL care about character over talent. He probably might have lasted through the fourth round but I highly doubt if he would have lasted much farther.. They guy is immensely talented. Hopefully, Landry can help him out.

They don't care if you are a good person but they certainly care when your dumbassness effects your ability to be on the field. Credit card fraud while on scholarship and getting all your meals paid for is a very bad look in that department. I'm pretty sure NFL teams would be more accepting of straight up accepting money from boosters than that. Especially when you already have issues with an immensely talented WR who has spent more time on the couch then he has with the team in the last few years
