Cleveland Browns (2014 Season)

I agree with that. I am just saying that I will not jump off of a bridge if they do take Johnny but they do take a QB I am more a fan of Bortles. If you really want to go BPA at #4,, you better prepare yourself for a OT like Jake Matthews or Greg Robinson because in all likelihood one of those guys might be sitting there and if you want to talk value those guys are value at #4.

I agree with Bucklion and yourself regarding Byrd after further thought. This is a passing league and if we could get him and move Gipson to SS that would be ideal. However, I also think we need another CB either through FA or the draft.

I will not address the post that compared Colt McCoy to Johnny… that was just silly.

I bolded that because it was more in reference to buckeneye saying that same exact thing after me. Honestly, I like Carr and his arm talent but have not really watched him enough to know if he would be worth that second first or not(not saying he will be there but if he was).
I won't be upset if we draft any of these qbs but I just think overall its a pretty weak class of qb's and we could really add some talent to other areas of the team.

I am still trying to figure out the Mack deal. Not the transition tag but the rest of the deal. I read the article in Cleveland.com Where the coaches went out to the West Coast and he said that he wanted to get to know that better or something like that. I guess I do not understand why he would not take a 4 year, $8 million contract with a $8 million roster bonus spread over four years. That would have given him $10 million/year. I guess if he really wanted to stay in Cleveland why would me take that or maybe he just wants to see how they improve this season under this new regime. That is the only thing that makes sense to me.

probably because he honestly thinks he can get more in the open market than what cleveland has offered him so far, especially in terms of guaranteed $$$. so, the transition tag allows him to go gauge his market value and either get what he thinks he deserves, or get a reality check.

what i now find extremely humorous is how all the draft "pundits" are now claiming their inside sources are saying that cleveland won't take a qb at #4 at all. so, they've been tied to blake bortles, little johnny foosball, sammy watkins, or possibly an "unconventional" pick to quote ray farmer himself. it's safe to say that nobody has a clue as to what cleveland is going to do at #4. it makes for some interesting drama if nothing else, as the raiders, falcons, and tampa, who own the next 3 picks, are all more than desperate for OL and pass rush help. so, if the top 3 picks are bortles, robinson/matthews, clowney, those teams are going to start shitting themselves.

Wait, he thinks he is worth $2 million more than the "next" best center in the NFL. Reality check--he need something more than that.

First comments that I've seen regarding Lombardi being spotted with a notebook with the Brown's logo on the pages. From the sound of it, might be the last we hear of it, but if something was going on, they may handle it quietly with the league office.

Scheiner was also asked about former Browns GM Mike Lombardi being seen at the NFL Scouting Combine looking at notes with a Browns logo on the front. He said it could've been just letterhead, but "If that wasn’t the case here, we’ll do it internally and we'll handle it that way. But it might've been the case that there was nothing on the interior of that paper.
"If it's information that's leaving our building, then we’re concerned and we’ll address it, but that holds true for anyone who leaves the building and we're always cognizant of it.''

Like anyone gives a frog's fat ass about any "info" this crapchise might have. Yeah, I'm sure half the league is dying to know what the worst franchise in sports is thinking. :slappy:

Browns set to unveil new, ‘cutting-edge’ uniforms before 2015 NFL draft

Will the Browns draw inspiration from the Pro Bowl uniforms? We’ll have to wait to see

Move over Tampa Bay. Cleveland is also set to join the new-wave uniform craze.

On CBS Cleveland’s Bull & Fox Tuesday, team president Alec Scheiner was asked whether the Browns could follow the Buccaneers’ lead — Tampa Bay unveiled new, futuristic uniforms on Monday — with their new uniforms, set to be unveiled in 2015. He said that the Browns new uniforms would be future-leaning, but that they’ll maintain a “link” to the team’s history.
