dude's had attitude issues in KC for most of his tenure and he wants out because they stink. so, naturally, he'd love to come to cleveland. considering KC isn't going to trade him during the year, and if they slap a franchise tag on him, nobody will pony up the picks, i'd say this is a wasted effort.

92.3 The Fan is infinitely better. Kiley and Booms in the morning is, IMO, the worst crew on 92.3....kinda going for that "shock" type crap with Booms and Kiley is the "straight man" to Booms buffoonery.

The Talking Heads show, mid-morning to 2:00 pm, hosted by Baskin and Phelps is pretty darn good if you ask me. Of the 3 daytime programs, this is the one where some good decent sports talk takes place.

The 2:00 - 7:00 slot, Bull and Fox, host by Adam the Bull and Dustin Fox is better than the morning show, not as good as the Talking Heads, but still infinitely better than anything on KNR. While I think Bull and Fox is mediocre at best, sometimes they have a pretty good line-up of guests on the show.

On The Fan I can hear sports talk about the Cleveland teams as well as much talk about OSU. They are generally very pro-OSU, which is quite refreshing from the assclowns on the ESPN affiliated KNR (I am looking at you Aaron Goldfingerupyourasshammer), yet aren't so homeristic that objectivity is lost.

I agree with you, The Fan is better for every show, except for morning. I am a huge Rizzo fan. I tolerate Goldhammer, although Hammer's haterism of tOSU gets a little irritating at times. I try not to listen to Kylie/Booms at all anymore since they became so negative about the Browns, especially Booms with Weeden. I can't tolerate it. Couple that with Booms blatant political punditry at times, he is unlistenable. I have stooped to even listening to Mike and Mike at times because of my dislike for Booms.

I only switch over to KNR after the morning when 92.3 is on a commercial break.

Hit them all pretty much on the head, especially Booms. I too have always found Rizzo entertaining, and he is a pretty big OSU homer....sometimes too much so.

I listen to Kylie and Booms for about 20 minutes on my morning drive and sometimes I have to turn them off due to the negativity. And when Booms gets into his political crap....well why go there on sports talk.

From the sounds of it, Banner does not like 5 year plans so I think we will be active in free agency which is good.

The rumor being reported on Cleveland Sports Talk yesterday was the reason why the Browns were not active in FA this offseason is because Lerner was planning on selling the team. They theorized also, which kinda makes sense, that this is also a big reason why they did not pull the trigger to land the draft spot for RG3. They would have had to give up future draft picks, and that would have been less attractive to a perspective buyer. Not sure it is true, just interesting to think about the possibilities.

No, I am pretty sure once it was obvious the Redskins were going to go full retard to get RGIII the Browns weren't going to match it.

I keep hearing about guys that come from Philly being associated as "winners." First with Heckert, now Banner. Yeah they were a playoff team, but they didn't win a Super Bowl. To me, that truly defines a "winner" in the NFL. I really like Haslam, and am optimistic about the direction and trust that he believes Banner is the right guy, so I am OK with that, just not sure about throwing this "winning" tag around this much is applicable. Heckert was a "winner" from Philly too and how has that worked out?

Anyway, 4-12 is a long way from the AFC Championship game. Can't win if you don't play. :wink:

The Browns are what 84-128 or something like that since 1999?

Give me that any day of the week and also give me the 5 conference championships they went too as well. They didn't break through, but that doesn't mean the Browns wouldn't. Clearly they had a system in place that worked very well (much like Shitzburgh, the Ratbirds, the Pats, the colts and so on), so by all means let's give that a shot.
