Plus tip, it really would make Holmgren looks like an ass for bringing in Wallace not to mention Jake if something happens.

i think the browns being 0-8 with 2 terrible QB's and McCoy who they almost cut looks like more of an ass...at that point do you think anyone is going to be bitching if we could get Kolb at a 2nd or 3rd round pick?....im not saying kolb is the second coming of christ and he could fail horribly but he did have 2 great games last year in place of vick throwing for over 300 yards both times...and he has looked terrible in pre-season as the new leader this year but delhomme looked like a pro-bowler in the pre-season so im not even going to count the pre-season...and he plays 1 half, with a concussion, against one of the best pass defenses in the NFL and all of a sudden now he sucks

It will probably take a first rounder for Kolb.

Don't know if it would be a good move or a bad move, but Wallace would be a good backup to Vick. Not the same type of athlete, but they could run the same offense with both of them. I wouldn't give up more than a 2nd or 3rd round pick for that trade. It would have to be Philly wanting to move Kolb rather than the Browns leveraging the future to get him. The Browns desperately need a pass rush and a running back in the draft next year.

plus don't the Eagles have some offensive weapons that might make a QB look a little bit better when he is wearing their uniform than one of ours. First or second round draft choice.... hang up telephone. yOy... I just don't agree with you.

I disagree, they gave up a total of one 7th rd pick for both Delhomme & Wallace. Delhomme was expected to be a stopgap and Wallace a backup. If Kolb had been available at a reasonable price they might have traded for him instead of signing Delhomme. I don't have a problem with either of those moves given the minimal cost nor do I have a problem with them kicking the tires on a possible Kolb deal.

Well, everybody's ready to write of Colt because of the preseason...

That or a 2nd & 3rd.

Again, I'm not happy with the qb situation, I just don't think Kolb is the guy...and I certainly don't think you part with what are going to be high draft choices for him.

3rd is the highest I'd give. If the team had fewer needs, maybe a second. But it doesn't.
The fact that he's gone from being basically "untouchable" to on the trade market so fast (and on the heels of a lot of questions popping up about his ability) makes me very weary. Six weeks ago they were planning on building their franchise around him, now they want to trade him? Something isn't right.

Mike Vick looks amazing and Kolb looks like ass.

Well, yeah. But Vick is also four years older than Kolb and doesn't have any more development to go. Everybody knows what/who he is. If they thought Kolb had much potential (or as much as they did six weeks ago), wouldn't it stand to reason you'd trade the older guy who has already reached his developmental peak? Or, if you simply think Vick gives you a better chance to win this year, still hold on to Kolb because of his "potential"? Seems like they are realizing they made a mistake and are trying to cut bait.

Either that or it's a big "win now" push, since Dallas has been in shambles and the Giants are in disarray and the Redskins gave up, what, a billion passing yards last week? Maybe they are also looking for a player since the division is there for the taking? I dunno, it doesn't make sense to mortgage the future on Vick to me.

I'm conflicted. I'd prefer not giving up to much for Kolb - especially the way the bottom has fallen out.

However in the spot duty he saw last year, obviously everyone knew he threw for 300+ yards per game. Pre-season he's been garbage, and now he's looking that way week 1, maybe week 3?

I'm not ready to write Colt off yet, I"m just not. Does Kolb have a higher ceiling? Perhaps. That said, I wouldn't give up a 1st or 2nd rounder for him. We have too many needs with possible draft stars coming out at positions that are critical to a teams success. Besides, even if we got Kolb - what's going to happen to him playing behind the right side of that Oline? :(

If he's tabbed as the starter for the Eagles in week 3, we'll see what happens. However I'm very suspicious of this now, unless of course this is all bum information we've been getting.
