I thought the exact same thing live. I was watching thinking "If that is someone else secure in their job they come out, but Jake knows damn well if Seneca goes in and plays well he'll never see the field again, so he won't come out, even if he is hurting the team"

I too thought the same damn thing. Then I thought, from the point of view of being a football coach, why isn't he simply taken out of the game by the coach when it is pretty clear that his presence on the field, hobbling on one leg, is not helping the team one bit. In the end, the decision rests with the coach. it is his job to put the people on the field that gives the team the best shot at a W, and an injured Jake shouldn't have been out there.

At his Tuesday press conference, Eagles coach Andy Reid refused to rule out a Kevin Kolb trade prior to the October NFL trade deadline.
Reid reemphasized that Kolb has "a bright future," but the Eagles are perhaps the most aggressive team in the league, having become even more so since GM Howie Roseman took over this offseason. We have to believe they'll listen to any trade proposals. The Browns were reported to have strong interest in Kolb during draft weekend, and there is plenty of quarterback uncertainty throughout the league. The Eagles will definitely get offers.

why not take a chance on him....the staff is obviously not high on McCoy and if kolb is available then i dont see why heckert wouldnt ask to see what his price is...cant be any worse then delhomme or wallace...neither the QB's for our future...while were at it we should be asking what carolina wants for D. Williams or Stewart

Kolb looked horrible in the preseason and again before getting concussed in week 1. He also has a hefty contract extension under his belt now. You gotta think he won't come cheap either...probably a couple high draft picks. In short, no thank you. I'm not saying McCoy's the answer, but it's too early to totally write him off. If they want upgrade, maybe this team will be in the position to go after Mallett or Luck or one of the other young qbs that will inevitably become sought after prospects come April.

No way does one game against Detroit convince Reid Vick is a long-term solution at QB.
I think it's a combination of Vick looking pretty good against GB and DET and Kolb looking like ballsweat. The fact that the Iggles may already be willing to part with him should send up red flags...

Also, besides the draft, you never know what's going to become available after this season is over. Plus, we have so many needs in addition to the QB position.

Agreed...the Browns are Exhibit A disproving HOF voters who say that "anyone can be a good receiver in today's NFL" for example.
