Hillis is a fantastic player. One of the most underrated pickups this offseason IMO. Browns fans will love him.

O I definitely agree. Not gonna put up huge numbers in any category, but he will do a lot of different things that aren't gonna show out in the stat book necessarily but will be easily noticed on the field. A catch here, a crucial 4th and 1 there.

Its way early but this is a 5-8 win team but as a whole the additions made to this team have really increased the talent level. Its going to be interesting but most of the additions are hard working, smart, football players. This isn't going to be an amazing team or anything but I think for once we will see the Browns be able to compete on most Sundays in the fall which is a drastic change from most seasons since the Browns have been reincarnated.

I guess my biggest concern now is the DL. I have read where they are going to move Rogers out to DE which is probably in a better position for him to make big-time plays but I am concerned about what type of action the league is going to take against him. If it is for any length of time, the Browns are very thin in that area. WR concerns me a little too but not quite as much because of our TEs that we have brought in.

The TE's should give us some very nice (big) options over the middle and down the seams - but WR needs to be a priority for the next Draft.

Agreed. Fortunately next year looks like a bumper crop of impact WRs. There are at least three guys in next year's class that would've gone ahead of any of this year's WRs.

GREAT POINT which is why I think our beloved Brownies focused on other priorities for the time being. Establish the run game this year...let our young (average) receiving corps get another season under their belts and hopefully bring a playmaker in next year to mesh early with Colt (if all goes well). Tons of potential planning...will it pay off? We'll see.

I'm still very concerned about our pass rush.

Browns were 8th in the league with 40 sacks last season. And I'm pretty sure Kam Wimbley is the only loss on D as of right now and he only had 6.5 of those 40. Plus the , defensive backs have been improved. You should be more worried about the Browns stopping the run as they are just bad at it.

And how much of that stat was inflated by the 7 sack night against Toothlessburger in week 14? Or maybe the stretch of 4 shitty teams we played.

Bottom line is we got very little pressure on opposing QB's of decent teams.

However I'm always worried about our rush defense.

What has Abe Elam done to ask for a long term deal??

I'm sick of everyone thinking that they deserve something when they haven't proven anything. Go out and show it on the field and you'll get what you deserve. Until then, shut up.

I think the draft was fairly poor, think our QB situation is a catostrophe (our QB threw 18 picks last year and 6 tds :slappy:) I'm concerend about Shaun Rogers, and we still have huge question marks at all skill positions on offense.

5 maybe 6 wins. Feel like we're in a re-run in terms of the GM carausel. Tired of hearing the "be patient and trust me routine". I liked the addition of Sheldon Brown, thought the Haden pick was OK, and the rest of the off-season/draft was pretty poor. Time will tell. My faith in Cleveland sports has hit a wall I didn't even think was possible....give me some Buckeye football, please.
