Cleveland Browns (2009 Season)

That ain't even close. Rumors are they want a QB and two 1st rounders.

those rumors are blatantly false. no team has that kind of collateral to begin with, and secondly, nobody in their right mind would pay it.

if it's cleveland and denver directly, quinn and #5 for Cutler and #12. nothing else on the table. Denver still gets a QB and can pick BJ Raji to be their NT.

So the sports media mislead me? Drats...fooled again.

That I could get behind.

I can't believe that a rumor is false.

Agree, one of our QB's and swap first-round draft choices. There is no way that Cleveland should give away any of their draft choices with all the needs that they have.

It seems like there is a plan in Cleveland. ManKok is (Mangini - Kokinis) certainly going about things with a certainty that leads me to believe they have a direction in mind for this team. They definitely seem to know what they want their team to look like.

I would feel better about Cutler under center this season than Quinn or Anderson to be honest.

At least with Cutler I know what I'm getting. I can't say that about Quinn or Anderson.

I have read where Mankok those now want to trade Quinn to Denver because they are blowing smoke about this open competition for the QB position. It has been written where they possibly might like Quinn over Anderson and do not want to trade him but that's who Denver wants.

I will wait and see what they do in the draft and their other player moves before I make any type of decision on whether I care for the new regime or not. Currently, I am not getting good vibes:(

Does anyone think that the three team trade involving Detroit, Cleveland, and Denver has any legs:huh: Personally, I don't even understand who would go where.

I think it could work, maybe if the deal went something like this:

Detroit would get Jay Cutler
Cleveland would get the #1 overall pick in this years draft from Detroit and Detroits 1st pick in the 2nd round this year.
Denver would get Brady Quinn and the #5 pick in this years draft from Cleveland.

I think a trade like that would make sense for everyone involved.

Just my thoughts on this situation.....I'm expecting DA to be traded on draft day. I am of the belief that the Browns currently have a suitor for DA's services and that a trade scenario may already be in place. The trade would have to happen on draft day, in order for the Browns to keep their options open up to that point.

Brady Quinn will be the starting QB for the Browns, and I do not believe they truly have much interest in moving him, especially to Denver. The fact that McDaniels supposedly wants BQ over DA should tell us all something.....BQ just might be a better value. The kid wants to be a Cleveland Brown, and he's the prototype for the types of players that Mangini/Kokonis want to bring to Cleveland (smart, humble, hard working, good locker room guy, no drama, etc.). I like DA, and I'd hate to see him leave the team, but I think his days in Browns-town are nearing their end, for obvious reasons.

I don't have a clue who they will draft at #5. Orakpo, Curry, Crabtree, trade down, blah, blah, blah. It's all situational. I do believe the Browns want to acquire as many first day picks as possible. I think DA will help with that. I like what ManKok is trying to do, now it's a matter of selling this mentality to the rest of the team. Guys like Edwards and Rogers could be hard pressed to buy into it. They're not exactly known for their "unselfishness." But I think it could work, and I believe it will.

Just my $0.02

I must not be "involved" because that deal certainly would not me with my approval. That would leave us with Anderson and I assume they would draft a QB with their first pick. That is not an ideal situation IMO. It would be nice to get to draft picks but I don't know if I want as my starting QB was a rookie backup:(

Meh, I don't want Cutler as a BROWNS fan.. is he an improvment? Yes. Is he a beotch? Yes.

The off the field issues concern me.. the drinking and the denver situation. I would rather draft Mark Sanchez and trade BQ or DA for additonal picks or players than I would Cutler.

I would hope the BROWNS draft someone else besides Sanchez, just wanted to state that Cutler is a bitch.

according to the post above Detroit would get Cutler and we would get draft choices from Detroit. I don't know if I like that or not.
