Cleveland Browns (2009 Season)

I don't think you can totally write him off yet because he's playing with a talent level sourrounding him that is barely superior to most arena league teams. I don't think he's going anywhere because his trade value is so low that it would be pretty much pointless to jettison him now. One (minor) advantage that he has over DA, to me, is he limits the damn boneheaded mistakes Anderson makes in abundance. He checks down like a maniac, but at least he doesn't throw retarded interceptions inside his own 20...not yet anyway.

quinn's style would work if cleveland had a semblence of a running game so they weren't in 3rd and long all the time, and had anything close to talent at the TE spot. but still, quinn is going to have to suck it up and throw downfield to test defenses, and keep them from loading the box. if you want to take an optimistic approach, quinn watching anderson's botched horse abortion of a qb performance over the last 6 weeks should give him enough confidence to take chances without fear of getting the hook again.

Browns' Josh Cribbs carted off the field following game's final play -- latimes.com

CLEVELAND (AP) — Browns wide receiver Josh Cribbs was taken to a hospital for further tests after being injured on a hard hit on the final play of Baltimore's 16-0 win over Cleveland on Monday night.

Cribbs caught a pass from Brady Quinn on the final play and lateraled to Robert Royal. Following the pitch, Cribbs was hit near midfield by defensive end Dwan Edwards.

As Cribbs was on the field, players from both teams knelt in prayer around him.

After he was treated by Cleveland trainers, he was put on a stretcher and driven to the locker room. Cribbs was taken by ambulance to a local hospital.

Browns coach Eric Mangini said Cribbs had movement and feeling in all parts of his body when he left the stadium.

Hope that parts true.

The whole stadium emptied before the start of the 4th... few people from the nose bleeds came down and filled the good seats.

Fuck, what horrible weather though. Started tailgating around 4:30ish. Got to our seats a tad late. But honestly though, the fans are great... week in and week out. The tailgating was awesome, everybody comes up and talks, plenty of "O-H" plenty of "Fuck M*chigan, Pittsburgh" etc etc.

1-8 though. These fans don't deserve it. My ticket was free. My beer was free. My food was free. Cost me gas. Other than that you wouldn't have caught me dead there.

Damn shame about Cribbs, why would you risk our only offensive weapon that late in the game? Mangini, your an idiot.

edit;

The highlight of my evening?

2 of my friends and some random Ravens fan (who happened to be an OSU fan) standing over the tunnell for the visiting side.
After halftime, Troy was one of the last players to walk out. The 4 of us started screaming "Troy!!"
he turned around gave a quick smile and pointed as we did O-H-I-O.

Yeah, that made the trip somewhat worth it.

Subject: Custody Battle

Custody Battle Ruling:
A seven year old San Francisco boy was at the center of a courtroom drama this morning when he challenged a court ruling over who should have custody. The boy has a history of being beaten by his parents so the judge awarded custody to his aunt. The boy confirmed that his aunt beat him more than his parents and he refused to live there. When the judge suggested that he live with his grandparents the boy cried out that they beat him more than anyone. The judge then decided to allow the boy to choose who should have custody of him. Custody was granted to the Cleveland Browns this morning as the boy firmly believes that they are not capable of beating anyone.
