Cincinnati Bearcats (Juggalos official thread of Faygo)

they want tOSU to play at Nippert? WTF, that thing holds like 48k if. Please, they couldn't afford it.
Although it would be funny to see that place taken over and a rolling O-H-I-O inside. HeHe, they should do it, and make sure it is scheduled the same week as the "gathering" see how that flies.

No smaller than Dych in Evanston or Rutger's stadium. It's actually a well designed stadium - very old school look and great sight lines everywhere AND you can buy a brewski in the stadium - BUT OSU doesn't get the concessions or parking money and they end up losing 60K seats to the shoe and 30 to 40K to PBS. If the Bucks ever play here again it will be at PBS.

And one more thing. If you have to scream SMART on your twitter banner, you're probably NOT.

For comparison, here's Ohio State's.

Also take notice that the school that actually is one of the nation's top public research universities doesn't feel the need to call itself that.

Cincinnati heartburn is deeper than the football issue. It's the only major Ohio city I know of that sees itself politically isolated from the rest of the state... maybe Toodooteley-do dose too. Dayton, Akron, Cleveland, Youngstown all see themselves as Ohio cities. Cincinnati believes it's the capitol of Tri-State. Come the revolution they will set up a principality, bring a monarch in from Bavaria to rule and tax the hell out Northern Kentucky and Southeastern Indiana along with everything south of Centerville. Till then they'll root for Notre Dame in the fall, Kentucky in the winter and wonder why they don't get any money or love from Columbus.
Interesting perspective...

Capacities of the aforementioned stadiums of UC, Northwestern, and Rutgers:

Cincinnati: Nippert Stadium (35,000)
Northwestern: Ryan Field (47,130)
Rutgers: Rutgers Stadium (42,000)

The only other B1G stadium with a capacity less than 50,000 is Maryland's Byrd Stadium (48,055). UC can EABOD...

I'd be interested to see when the last time was that Ohio State played in front of fewer than 40,000.

With the renovations and added boxes Nippert's capacity will be 45K at the start of the 2015 season

When I was in grad school (75 -77) at UC they were giving away tickets at Kroger. The only game they could regularly sell out was Miami - bet that puts a smile on Ord's face. They've come a long way from that, but to fill Paul Brown in 2003 they needed help from the Bengals who made season ticket owners buy the usual two pre-season games and the OSU game. They backed out of a series a few years back when the Bucks insisted on 2 for 1. They came back a few years later agreeing the single game slots. I believe a second game was scheduled at PBS, but the bucks bought their way out of the game and it was moved to Columbus - anyone know if that's true.

yes, it is true and this is how out of touch UC 'fans' are. The contract stated both schools had to agree to the million dollar buyout. UC could have kept the game but took the money for its cash strapped athletic department...so the idiots say Ohio State is 'scared' but it was UC's own administration that took the money and the curb stomping. (insert a classic Ord's .gif of somebody getting molested mafia style)
