Cincinnati Bearcats (Juggalos official thread of Faygo)

There it is again: "they refuse to play us here".
1. Not QUITE what he's saying, but the "refuse to play us" thing is funny. I posted somewhere else (probably in this thread) that Ohio State has played Cincinnati more than any other non-conference opponent, except maybe San Diego State, since the late 90s. How is that REFUSING to play them? FACTS!
2. "Play us here" is also funny. Ohio State has played in Cincinnati twice (counting the spring game last year) since 2000. That is more than the number of the rest of the times Ohio State played a game in the state of Ohio outside of Ohio Stadium.

Come on! You're counting a Spring Game? Sheeze, this pretty weak sauce. Or maybe the sauce you're on is too strong?

Maybe I'm alone in this sentiment, but with all this bitching they're doing, I kinda hope tOSU doesn't schedule them for 25+ years.

Disagree. I want OSU to schedule them annually and beat them by 4-5tds at Minumum until they refuse to play us anymore, or until their spirit is broken and they come for an annual beat down and to just collect a check and become humbled

A juggalo in my midst:

This clown is apparently my neighbor. To their credit, even the other UC fans in the comments think this guy is a whiny little turd.

I still insist there is not as much OSU hate here as others profess. Rather, there is a small minority of juggalos who just can't keep their stupid opinions to themselves who give the impression that they speak for the entire city.
Just tell them all to go get their shine box.

Wrong. I know of at least two games in my lifetime in which the Buckeyes played in Cleveland - Kent State a few years back and Northwestern in 1991. In 1916 they played Case in Cleveland and Western Reserve in 34 - in 44 they played Illinois there.

Fuck that. Do we then schedule OU and Fredo annually. They are all Ohio public universities with mid-major football teams. There is nothing fundamentally different about UC other than they've only been a state university since the 1970s when we saved them from bankruptcy.

And what kind of a university uses the school's official twitter feed to bait their state's flagship about scheduling a football game. That school has time and time again shown itself to be a cut rate clown college.

When I was in grad school (75 -77) at UC they were giving away tickets at Kroger. The only game they could regularly sell out was Miami - bet that puts a smile on Ord's face. They've come a long way from that, but to fill Paul Brown in 2003 they needed help from the Bengals who made season ticket owners buy the usual two pre-season games and the OSU game. They backed out of a series a few years back when the Bucks insisted on 2 for 1. They came back a few years later agreeing to the single game slots. I believe a second game was scheduled at PBS, but the bucks supposedly bought their way out of the game and it was moved to Columbus - anyone know if that's true?

Cincinnati heartburn is deeper than the football issue. It's the only major Ohio city I know of that sees itself politically isolated from the rest of the state... maybe Toodooteley-do does too. Dayton, Akron, Cleveland, Youngstown all see themselves as Ohio cities. Cincinnati believes it's the capitol of Tri-State. Come the revolution they will set up a principality, bring a monarch in from Bavaria to rule and tax the hell out Northern Kentucky and Southeastern Indiana along with everything south of Centerville. Till then they'll root for Notre Dame in the fall, Kentucky in the winter and wonder why they don't get any money or love from Columbus.
