Agreed. I found myself looking them up.. only to be dissapointed.. why couldn't they use one like this?

I think a key point of football leadership-which has nothing to do w/ Chritianity-needs to made here. The OL is an entity unto itself-they can be nasty, fired up, and aggressive-but that is because the players/OL coaches have developed that themselves-and, hopefully, spread it to the rest of the team-and become leaders themselves. That is the ideal scenario. The other is that the OL play/act like slugs, and no amount of leadership/screaming/in-your face, whatever you want to call it from the HC to the crazy LB captain to the cocky/charismatic QB will change that-I've seen it happen.

Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow is not the only one who thinks God helps him on the football field.

According to a national telephone survey conducted by Poll Position, 43 percent of people believe that ?divine intervention? is responsible for his success compared to 42 percent of people surveyed who think that God has nothing to do with Tebow winning.

The arrogance of humanity to think a supernatural, all knowing, all powerful creator of the universe exists, cares about each of us personally, and with everything else going on in the world is taking the time to fix football games. Apparently, the players on the other teams are all going to hell. :lol:

Sure, but they play for/root for a different football team so obviously "God" would never be on their side. :p

Keeping with the theme of christianity and athletics, Baylor (a baptist school) was sporting "One Team, One God, One Goal" t-shirts in warm ups today. Given how Kentucky is blowing them out of the gym they either brought the wrong god with them or needed more than one. :wink:
