This is just getting to be out of hand. IF charges against Hyde and Roby are true just kick them off the freaking team and be done with it. How hard is it to not get arrested when you have the world in your hands? I want to win, but not with a group of men who don't appreciate the opportunity they have. We'll find someone else who wants to play, and stay out of trouble.

Why on Earth would anybody spend a weekend of their offseason in Bloomington, IN?

A thousand times this.

And, maybe there's a good reason, but, here's what I will say... I spent hundreds of nights out in Athens, Columbus (and a good number in Madison, and other places... I only mention Madison, because I figure its a good example of AKAK on the road in a pretty serious environment of possible trouble)... etc... but for whatever reason about 50% of the time I was in, well, anywhere in Indiana, something messed up happened... and by messed up, I mean, got thrown out of a bar, got in a scrape with spazzed out idiots, whatever... didn't get arrested, but, that's only by the grace of god. So, I'm not sure what's in the water there, but, its not an environment I was ever comfortable in.

I even got tossed out of a McDonalds in Muncie, once. I mean, what the fuck? I wasn't even drunk.

If what is described in the report is truth, I say a 4 game suspension sounds just. Of course that report doesn't give much to go off of.

edit: coincidentally that would bring him back for our B1G schedule, beginning with Wisconsin at home.

I really hope Roby is no more than a 1 or 2 game suspension. He'd be a huge loss. Hyde doesn't hurt nearly as much.

Battery with bodily injury in Indiana is a Class C Felony with a potential of 2-8 years in a pound me in the ass prison. My guess from reading the various levels, is that it would get plead down to a Class A misdemeanor, but that won't happen quickly. If the indictment is legit, he needs to be gone!

We definitely need to wait and see how this one plays out. From the sketchy info out there, this sounds like it could be a simple dustup with a bouncer, for which a felony could be an overshoot with a lesser plea bargain the eventual result.

his case summary specifically states it's a misdemeanor. given how these typically go, he'll be spending a long weekend in booze school, doing community service, paying a fine, and be on probation for a while.

These kinds of incidents always take me back to the 89 Super Bowl and Stanley Wilson's inability to stay straight for 24 hours - imagine staring down a stack of bills- about 90K- just to play in one game, and you can't lay off of the nose candy.

This is just as insane, two kids with the possibility to be set for life financially and they can't stay away from places they know they shouldn't be, making decisions they know are wrong and they don't have the excuse of the power of cocaine to overwhelm common sense.

I feel bad for their teammates.
