so its been 11 days since the last post in this thread...and the cavs still suck, jawad williams is gone, alonzo gee is signed, and samardo samuels is sent down to the d-league...i think the cavs are getting ready to make a trade here soon and i hope they do...the sooner the better actually...here is a eyenga update:

D-league update: Cavaliers rookie Christian Eyenga was at The Q to watch Sunday's game against Minnesota, but isn't expected to formally be with the team anytime soon.
Eyenga was sent to the NBA D-League's Erie BayHawks on Nov. 18, and the Cavaliers have heard good reports on the swingman's development. In 12 games with Erie, Eyenga is averaging 11.2 points, hitting 53 percent of his attempts.
Scott said he's most eager for Eyenga to learn the Cavaliers' defensive strategies. "All the reports I'm getting are that every day he looks more like an NBA player," he said.
Samardo Samuels played in his first game with Erie on Monday, the same day he was assigned to the squad, and scored 12 points.

Alonzo Gee brings an instant upgrade to the the overall athleticism of the roster. He is only on a short contract so if they don't like what they see, the Cavs will let him go and try to find someone else that is a similar player to him.

from chad fords espn chat:

Donnie Reece (Atlanta)Are the Cavs close to making any changes? Any idea what direction they go?

Chad Ford
They've been quietly shopping their entire roster. They are looking for cap relief, draft picks and young players. They are going to blow it up. Anderson Varejao probably has the most trade value. It's hard to find bigs that play tough defense at that age and price tag. Mo Williams has some value as does Antawn Jamison and J.J. Hickson.

Matt (Chicago)Where does Varejo end up? New York seems like a good fit, don't know if
they have the right assets

Chad Ford

Probably not. They need to keep cap flexibility for summer of 2011. Thunder could be a dangerous team with Varejao. Also he'd be a great fit on the Pacers. Both teams have expiring contracts and assets to give up. Pistons are another possibility.

Wow I would sure hope Andy would bring more than just BJ and a pick. IMO Andy is our top trade asset.

I agree about Andy being the top trade asset, but I'm not sure how much teams are going to be willing to give up to get him. Maybe Gilbert's new mission can be to bring all the NBA Buckeyes to the Cavs and he can ask for BJ, Cook, and the first round pick. :p
