Cavs 2010-11 season (official thread)

I bet Scott is wondering why he took this job now. Looks like Lebron took the rest of the players hearts when he left. On the bright side this will force Gilbert to rebuild rather than keeping the team at the bottom of the playoffs and hoping. No move other than bringing back Lebron can save this team this season.

Don't know if I'm going to watch any of the game tonight. It would be nice to see the Cavs show some heart and give out some of the hard fouls they should have given in Cleveland. I would put a foot under Lebron every time he jumps, an elbow to the face every time he crosses the lane, and put him on his ass every time he goes to the hoop.

Don't count on it. I'll expect them to crack a few jokes, dick around for a couple hours at the arena and then go clubbin' afterward.

its a head coaching gig and thats all you can ask for if you want to be a head coach in the NBA...as much as everyone hates dan gilbert outside of ohio, he really is a owner that will do whatever it takes to win and hes proven that in the past...we all knew when lebron left that we were not going to be a championship caliber team any longer, and i refuse to believe scott believed that we would...hes in this for the long haul and right now he's weeding out who wants to be here and fight with him in the future and who doesnt...we have some expiring contracts coming up, a 14.5 million trade exception for this year, 3 total draft picks at the end of the year and a crazy but determined owner...call me dumb but i still think there is a promising future as long as everyone stays patient

I forgot about the game until midway through the 4th quarter. From what I saw the Cavs were at least playing with heart last night. They didn't give up anything easy around the rim and made the Heat earn pts. at the line. I saw at least two good fouls against Lebron in the short time I watched, which is more than I can saw for the first game. If the Cavs can duplicate that effort every game they won't have the worst record in the NBA.

the most embarrassing thing was at the end of the game....lebron stood at half court waiting for players from the cavs to come over and hug/handshake/grabass, and no one would for like 10 seconds and finally Mo turned around and went up and hugged lebron and then verajo went over and did the same...it was so sad to see...Lebron is the abusive husband and mo is the battered wife in the relationship...Lebron wanted a kiss before he went to work and no matter how mad Mo was from the past, he just couldnt stay mad at him...it was hilarious...Gibson did not look at Lebron or say anything to Lebron on the court...probably just did it away from cameras after the game which is better and what all cavs players should do...even if you still like Lebron then just do it off the court and keep the cavs fans believing you hate him...but ya cavs played better and nearly got away with a win but are still coming up short

then you missed quite an officiating hack job. it's pretty pathetic when the refs have to job the cavs for the heat.
