Cavs 06-07 season thread

I would like to take a look at Carlisle in the offseason...He was a solid coach at Indiana, just had to pu up with a lot of suspensions and injuries in his tenjure and could never get the same team on the court night in night out...
As would I, but do you think Ferry is gonna shitcan Brown after another 50 win season and advancing at least one round in the playoffs? Barring a complete implosion in round two, I can't see Brown not returning next season.

I have seen crazier things...I mean look at Marty Schottenheimer getting canned after his great season with the Chargers...

I know that it is football, but you see the same type of thing with NBA where teams have good seasons, but still get rid of their coach...

Also like someone said earlier that we are getting by on talent alone at times...Brown has no concept of Offense, and I am sure that Ferry can see this as well as we can...

Honestly tho we are set up for a run to the finals, and if it isnt the Mavericks we could give the Western Conference team a run for their money, and with that I don't think that we would fire Brown...

Brown is one of Carlisle's guys. I can't see him taking the Cavs job if Brown gets fired. If they fire Brown they better have a Championship coach lined up.

Watching the game last night was anyone worried that they wouldn't pull it out at the end? I wasn't.
I love seeing Z, Hughes, and Gooden have a big series. I hope they keep it up since the Nets don't have anyone that can stop our big men when they are hot. Gibson had a decent night last night in his first big minutes of the post season. We really need Pavlovic to pick it up in the next round, but he is going to have a tough match up from here on out. I really want to see the Raptors pull out one more game before the Nets finish them off.

I was looking at the box score and worried about Pavlovic too. At least he'll most likely have Carter on him, so that should free him up for some shots.

But yeah, I like our Bigs chances next series, considering the only good big guy NJ has is Mikki Moore.

Boone has been playing pretty well for them...

I think that Toronto will get game 5...

His coaching ineptitude cost us at least 3 games that I can think of off the top of my head...

The one game that comes to mind is the Miami game down the stretch that went to overtime, where he had no idea how to draw up a play and double teaming Shaq off of Kapano in OT, giving him wide open 3's...:!

Nice first game by the Cavs yesterday...

The difference between this year's team and last year's team is our overall team play...

Last year it was basically LBJ doing everything, Z never showed up in the playoffs, Larry was coming back from injury and didnt help that much, Drew was inconsistent, Eric was the starting pg, and so on. Wild thing was probably our second best player behind LBJ last year.

This year LBJ has been able to trust Z, Gooden, Sasha, Larry to be able to score. Z and Gooden have played awesome, and I found myself yesterday actually saying to get the ball to Gooden in the post...I am always thinking that he will get his jump shots when they come and his put backs when they come, but he was just tearing it up in the post yesterday that I wanted him to get the ball...

The one thing that stayed constant is the coach...I just hope he doesnt cost us games in the playoffs...
