Cavs 06-07 season thread

I watched parts of the 1st half and the 3rd quarter, and decided not to watch the rest. It's just the same old crap. I've never seen a team settle for so many dumbass shots, or stand around and run the shot clock down forcing themselves into a dumbass shot. That, and somehow their passing has become even worse than their shot selection and free throw shooting. But hey, at least the DEFENSE is improved. :roll2:
Same here except I watched the first and last ten minutes of the fourth. It's kinda hard to get too upset about losing to the best team in the NBA on their court, but every game I watch, it's the same shit over and over again with some missed layups thrown in for extra flavor tonight.

I really think tonite showed why we need Larry...I know we should of won the game and had 10 million chances and no excuses why we lost the game, but the thing is down the stretch when Dallas starting sending two guys at LBJ b/c we had Snow on the court, but it was either give up some offense or defense where Gibson was struggling on the defensive end...

If we have Hughes we could go with the lineup of Hughes, Pavs, and LBJ in the backcourt and we could have offense and defense...

BTW Hawg he had the flu...

Also LBJ needs to get a killer instinct and until he does he won't bring a championship to Cleveland...

this game showed no reason why the cavs needed hughes. it did show why the cavs need someone better than snow or wesley.

</IMG> RON JENKINS STAR - TELEGRAM LeBron James of the Cavs soars by Jerry Stackhouse (left) and DeSagana Diop of the Mavs.

DALLAS ? Here?s how well the Dallas Mavericks are playing: Even on one of his best nights, LeBron James couldn?t take them down.
James had 39 points, combining eye-popping dunks with all sorts of other scoring tactics, and played terrific defense on fellow MVP contender Dirk Nowitzki with the game on the line. But James missed two free throws and a pair of threepointers in the final 13.7 seconds, letting the Mavericks slip past the Cleveland Cavaliers 95-92 Thursday night for their franchise record-tying 14 th straight victory.

Snow and Wesley should be embarassed. They were NEVER covered! Their man just went over to Lebron and stayed on him instead of wasting their time guarding players who airball 12 footers.

But seriously... everyone saw LeBron's dunk in the 1st quarter right? now THAT was sick!

Also... how bad were the refs last night? Seriously LeBron was hacked non-stop and never got a call. But then again do we really want him at the freee throw line?

But they were tearing us up on the offensive end so we needed someone to play D...That is where Larry comes in...

Also we needed someone else that could create on offense, which is also where Larry comes in...

Check the record for this team without Larry and the lineup and I can guarnatee it is no where near what it is with him in the lineup...

I got your back, cbf. I'm no fan of Hughes and (IMO) he is waaaaaaaay overpaid for what he has done for the team thus far, but:

2006-2007:
With Larry Hughes: 26-18 (59.09%)
Without Larry Hughes: 7-7 (50.0%)

2005-2006
With Larry Hughes: 23-13 (63.89%)
Without Larry Hughes: 27-19 (58.7%)

The team seems to be better off with him in the lineup. I'd still rather see the $13M be spent elsewhere and I'm certain that they could find a better fit for that kind of cash, but seeing that they can't unsign his contract, they might as well use him.

Exactally I would of had no problem with him being part of the Bibby trade or any other trade for that matter if we were going to bring someone else in.

But I don't think we are a better team if he is just not on our team and we bring in noone in return...

Eventually he and LBJ are going to hit their stride start knocking down shots with consistency and hit some free throws...

Honestly I think this team is so mental...It seems that one guys misses a free throw and then noone can make them...Just like last nite Z stepped to the line and missed 2. We need some mental toughness and I don't think that Brown is bringing that to this team...

No. But that's good. He will never win a Championship now.

It's kind of funny that you think you can come on here and talk all kind of smack simply b/c your hero won an NBA title last year. How long are you going to ride that one out? Of course, you'll conveniently ignore the fact the Miami is struggling to stay in the playoff picture right now in the East, with its sub-.500 record (and please don't give me the excuse that it's simply b/c your hero has been hurt, b/c Miami still was only 25-21 this year with him in the lineup).

We are not talking about Wade anymore. Only LeBron. Stay on topic.
