LeBron James, dunking as Jason Maxiell looks on, scored 29 of the Cavs' final 30 points in a 109-107 double-overtime win in Game 5.

There are many similarities between Game 6 last year and Game 6 tonight between the Cleveland Cavaliers and Detroit Pistons.
For the second straight year, Cleveland is up 3-2 with two chances to close out the Pistons. Similar to last season, the Cavaliers are riding a wave of momentum after beating Detroit three consecutive times.
Tonight also will be a home game for the Cavaliers, where they lost a close Game 6 last year in Quicken Loans Arena before dropping the series in seven games.
But there also are several differences.

Team doctors say measure precautionary

With his head wrapped in a towel, his shoulders slouching and his voice fatigued, LeBron James said he felt ``terrible'' in the moments after his awe-inspiring Game 5 performance Thursday.
He wasn't exaggerating. Concerned about dehydration, Cavs team doctors gave James fluids intravenously in the locker room to help him recover from the 51-minute pounding in the double-overtime Eastern Conference finals victory over the Detroit Pistons.
``It was just a precautionary measure, our doctors and trainers thought just so he wouldn't cramp up on the plane,'' Cavs coach Mike Brown said. ``Because he was pretty taxed physically after that contest.''

The Cavaliers need to end this series tonight at Quicken Loans Arena. They must take away any hope the Detroit Pistons have of somehow crawling back into the Eastern Conference finals.
The Pistons are discouraged and bickering, and their fingers are exhausted from all the pointing at each other.
Their confidence is shaken; their will is bending.
They almost are ready to go home... yes, almost.
There comes a time in each playoff series when a team senses it can't win. It might win another game, another quarter. But the actual series?
No way. It's over.

CLEVELAND LeBron James left it all on the floor Thursday night at The Palace.
When it was over, he walked out a winner after carrying the Cavaliers to the brink of their first-ever NBA Finals appearance.
Anyone who was a witness to the Cavs' 109-107 double-overtime win over Detroit in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference finals saw one of the best one-man shows in playoff history.
James scored the Cavs' final 25 points, 29 of their last 30 and finished with a franchise playoff-record 48 points to give his team a 3-2 lead in the series.
