Cavs 06-07 season thread

Z is pathetic when it comes to defense. He never stops the layups, but always seems to add the foul to go with it. Never see a hard foul from Z to stop a score. In fact, you never see Z go strong on the offensive end either, too soft, too clumsy, too slow. Sit his ass down.

I am now fully convinced that Mike Brown stifles LeBron, and that is the source of his lack of killer instinct. His "strategy" in Game 5 is evidence of that, as is the third quarter of tonight's game. When LeBron is in the game and allowed to assert himself, this team shines.

The lead is back to 16.

Didn't the Pistons run a zone that completely stopped Chicago for 3 games?

Maybe, I didn't watch. The only bonus that the Cavs have over the Bulls is that they have guys who can get offense in the post. It would be nice if one of the Cavs coaches knew and offense to run against a zone besides "Let's shoot them out of it".

That IS the offense to run against the zone. Unfortunately for the Cavs, that's why it works so well against them. Not only are the Cavs not a very good shooting team to begin with, but the coach is also too clueless to get the right personnel on the floor in that situation. The Nets were daring them to shoot outside jumpers, and unfortunately, Larry Hughes was eager to oblige and LeBron was on the bench unable to stop the bleeding. Thankfully, the shooting of Marshall and Gibson eventually made them pay for running the zone.

Bring on the Pistons...I think this is what most thought it would come down to before the season...

Glad to see LBJ come out strong and finish strong...

Donyell stepped up and he could really be a big factor against the Pistons...I really don't see Z getting a lot of minutes if he continues to struggle...

Someone is going to have Sheed, I think that is the key to the series, we have to find a way to either get in his head or shut him down...

Also Tayshaun...He seems to really be the guy that stirs the drink...LBJ needs to take it too him all series...
