Men's Basketball : During interviews today, freshman center Greg Oden was asked about how long he intended to stay at Ohio State. Oden answered "There's a very big chance I will be here four years." When asked if he really intended to be here four years he replied "Of course. I've got to finish college. That's what my Mom told me."

What excellent news. We'll be on tenterhooks each year, but if he does come back - it's back to back NCAA Final Fours or better.

Its just my opinion, but I think he comes back for a second year.....lets just enjoy this year and worry about the NBA after the season......one thing about Oden is that he has from the very beginning stated he wanted to attend college and get an education...but the lure of millions can be to much for anyone.....but he does not think like most kids in his position.

Im not so sure he will be back after this year. I know a girl who he dates, and he has told her he is gone. He is not even taking any of his hard finance courses (his major) since there is no reason to if he enters the draft this year. Take it for what it is worth...

Is the girl he dates from Indy? Sounds like she has pretty good information from what I have been told.

Freshmen year courses are mostly gen eds. People don't usually take the "core courses" for their majors until their sophomore year...

Ohio State's Oden BMOC despite playing with injury

USC'S TIM FLOYD, who spent five years coaching in the NBA, calls Ohio State freshman center Greg Oden a "once-in-a-generation big man" with "an unlimited upside."
That upside is likely to begin revealing itself as soon as the 7-foot, 280-pounder gets full use again of his right hand. Through his first four games for the Buckeyes (10-1), Oden has played with his right wrist heavily wrapped, a precaution following ligament surgery in June.

Greg is a pretty smart guy also. I wouldn't doubt that which team would potentially be drafting Greg could play a role in wether he comes back for another year or not also. Who would want to play for the Knicks anyway?

Well.....I guess I would!:tongue2:
