Indianapolis ? He not only pounds out hard rock, though some of his dunks do demand the adjective ?thunderous.? He also offers riffs that are subtle and nuanced, far more important yet easily lost in the maelstrom swirling about him.

Onto the 'Bag...

Could you please give some love to the Buckeyes now [after the close loss at North Carolina]? This team is more than just Greg Oden. -- Josh, Columbus, Ohio

I spent last weekend in Columbus for a story on Oden in this week's SI, and I came away impressed with the Buckeyes, who really could be the team to beat once Oden knocks all the rust off and starts meshing a bit better with the rest of the team. OSU's impressive first half against UNC showed how much talent Thad Matta's outfit has, and Oden's early return means this team could be running on all cylinders from the start of Big Ten play. Men's Basketball : During interviews today, freshman center Greg Oden was asked about how long he intended to stay at Ohio State. Oden answered "There's a very big chance I will be here four years." When asked if he really intended to be here four years he replied "Of course. I've got to finish college. That's what my Mom told me."

I indeed expect Mr. Oden to remain at The Ohio State University for four years.

He would, of course, only be eligible to play basketball here for one year; the remaining 3 he would be taking a heavy class-load in the NBA off-season.

:sneaky:
