Brady "XLLL" Hoke (Head Coach San Diego State)

...I can't fathom that even a dope like Jabba wouldn't have asked medical staff about Morris' status on Sunday...
That is hard to imagine, but I think it's even harder to imagine that Hoke would make a specific statement in a press conference while knowing that his boss would publicly contradict that statement within 12 hours. It seems more likely to me that Hoke either didn't ask the obvious questions he needed to, or someone intentionally kept him out of the loop.

Meh, I don't know. I seriously doubt that Hoke thought the kid was concussed. He's likely a dope for that, but I doubt he was getting word that Morris was concussed and decided he wants him in there anyway. I mean, there was simply nothing for Hoke to gain by putting him in there in that situation, so I suspect that, somehow, he didn't know. That's not an excuse for putting him in there, but I really doubt Hoke wanted a concussed kid playing. Dude is a fool, not evil.

I'm talking about Sunday and Monday. During the game I'd agree he's probably oblivious to the whole thing.
My impression of that Monday conference is that Hoke was telling a string fat lies and expecting the department to back him. I think he really did expect a brief from medical that would clear his name. I think he knew by then that Morris probably did have a concussion. And I think Brandon was probably occupied between then and midnight with attempting to get medical on board with their shenanigans.

I am surprised the media attention has not jumped on the 2 days after the game shenanigans. They all seem caught up in what happened in those two minutes, and not the buffoonary that has happened since.
I see what you're saying, but I hope they do stick straight to the facts and nail him on his actions during that game...that way Twerk Spankmeat's media "witch hunt" will have zero merit, real or perceived, whatsoever. It will give him a chance to be all over Les Miles going to Michigan again though.

I would miss Hoke tho. His reaction to the ref saying that the pancake belongs to the other team is priceless.

Supposedly Hoke is having a press conference in an hour or so? Any idea if it's to announce his resignation, or is he going to apologize to try and delay the inevitable?
it will be to add excuses to what happened.. stepping out one game into the conference schedule would just be silly.. now if Rutgers beats them by even an extra point i could see him getting the can before he resigns. also if Dave Brandon collapses under pressure in the near weeks, they better prepare for a dark ages for scUM athletics.

I'm with Mike on this one. What happened during the game was negligence and incompetence. What's happened since shows a really despicable, arrogant, lying, cover-up at all costs mentality in Brandon's AD, which I actually think is even worse--and an indication of institutional rot--than the initial negligence during the game.

The problem with ped aggy wasn't so much the soap battles in the shower as it was Paterno and his lackey's response to it, as well as everything else that came out about how Paterno ran that AD and university.

For Paterno's part, yes. For Sandusky's part though, obviously his firey hell inferno will come from his actions, not from the uncomfortable interviews afterwards. That's all I'm saying, that sometimes the negligence is as bad or worse than the subsequent shitshow. Whether that is the case here or not, of course, is open to debate, unlike the other, much more obvious, situation.

Just like ped aggy needs the joebots to die off before any real progress is made, scUM needs the m*ch*g*n man myth to do the same. Now, the consequences at ped aggy are much higher...as in real-life issues, scUM's are sports related, although this head-injury/possible cover up debacle is quite disgusting. Both universities are stricken with culture issues holding them back from real progress.
