I think 3yards adequately sorted out the BS.

Lloyd (and other SGNers), you should feel welcome to talk football, Buckeyes, general BS over at this site, but you should not feel as though you are welcome to flagrantly promote another site here, just because several of you have been significant members/contributors here.

When you're posting on this site, you need to comply with the rules of this site.

Tibor for real, quit stirring up stuff. It was very unclassy for people to send me un-signed dings. Saying something about it here would only get me warned. No point in that, so I placed it in the "New SGN" thread over there discussing this issue. Why don't you respond to it there instead of bringing my post I did not want here over here?

My bad.. I guess I should set aside the jobs for which i get paid for, and work feverishly on what I am donating my time to.

I have said time and time again that I am going to be working on a new portal for the site, however a man has got to make a living.

I didn't GL, I just knew guys like 3yards would go overboard about it after the replies were posted.

Dude, are you actually complaining to Tibor about unsigned dings. Jesus Christ the guy has more dings than everyone else combined. I don't think you are going to get any sympathy.

Maybe because he doesn't want to post on your site, moron. JHC, Lloyd, sac up and run your site and quit fucking whining here and over there. No one cares about the tribulations of setting up your website any more than we cared about your dreams about not having sex with an ex-girlfriend.

Its not worth arguing here....I promised Clarity (a couple of days ago) that I would send him an extensive response today and I did......as today is an off day from camp.....

Why don't we wait and see how that turns out...ok?

I've been posting & reading on message boards since 2001. And I never, EVER thought I'd see Tibbs as the sympathetic good guy on a thread. First time for everything.

What's next? Roger Moore as Senior Moderator???

Hummm, which part did I go overboard on? The part where you're promoting other sites even though you know that isn't permitted here? Is it the part where you assure us that the cloning of BuckeyePlanet was unintentional and certainly done without malice? That you would make changes as soon as possible, then tell us that in several weeks (after doing some work for sites that you are partnering with) you'll get around to making progress on changes?

Fine with me Alan. Please tell Lloyd that maybe his free time would be better served making alterations to S&GNews. Apparently, he has the free time to come here and tell us how he doesn't have any free time. At the very least have him go to another site to kill time. Coming here and stiring up folks isn't helping.

edit: clarity contacted me a few days ago to get to some of this stuff and i told him i was slammed for a couple of days and i got to him today as promised....

lets just chill out until he responds to me and so on...and so on....

There is a difference Alan. I explained it to you in PM, but I will here as well. No one placed posts on Bucknuts pimping BuckeyePlanet. Clarity asked that this NOT be done.

Everyone here knows about S&GNews. There is no need to continually promote your site in posts. PMs or e-mails would be preferrable to me. That at least assumes you are "friends" with someone and want to share something with them. It also removes to general "mass mail" or "spam" feeling that everyone is receiving on this end.

Maybe you don't believe it, but the vast majority here want you guys to be a big success. We just don't think cloning BP is the way to accomplish that goal. We don't think continually "dropping" S&GNews into the conversation is the way to do it.

Lastly, if you want to handle this with Clarity and have eveyone else drop the topic, then have your folks show the same courtesy your are expecting from us ... namely Lloyd.
