Geez I miss this thread for a couple days, and a hockey match game breaks out.

I do think cloning the site was pretty gay. There are 500 gay ways and 500 non-gay ways to design a website. By gay I mean use some sort of pre-fabricated software, portal, etc. Non gay ways would be using true html, dreamweaver, etc. Of all those ways, you guys make a duplicate of this site. Wow :)

Well hell, I only know how to use the gay way myself. Because usually the non-gay way, you have to pay someone 5 grand to do it. I guess we could change it from the gay way to the easier way. But I like using the word gay in a sentence without offending someone.

And no need for taking shots, I was just voicing my opinion on the matter.

Right but the point of my post was..........of all the "gay" or "easier" ways to do it.........you pick the exact same as BP. You saw the site that I designed in like a day. I personally think it is laid out better (not tooting my own horn), just like that particular portal and whatnot alot better.

Hey I got to use "tooting my horn" in a sentence twice in under a week, this rules.

I don't know what this means, so maybe you should explain it to me.

I'll be looking forward to a response, because it's important to me that I appreciate that it's not meant in the tone I've taken it in with the first read. That tone would create an unfortunate direction for all of this.

BMax you live in your world and i think you dont know just how stupid i am with computers.....heck, i need help posting pictures on a thread.......

all of the blame is to be on me for not having a clue about this stuff....i just try to describe what i want and lloyd makes it.....i really dont know how he does it....

i am perfectly comfortable hanging with coaches and SA's, but I am horrible at the computer side.....

Clarity - Actually that was a poor choice of words by me.

Alan - I completely understand that. Mind you I am not trying to pick a fight with any of this. But Lloyd does know his computer stuff, and I was just kinda surprised at the route that he took.

I think, for me personally, everything has more or less been said on this issue, so I'll simply be glad there's yet another place on the web for Buckeye fans to feed their addiction, and move on from there.

There need be no comparisons between BP and SGN because it's apples and oranges. BP is developed and driven by the community for the love of the team and the game. SGN has money and means to make money, but this leads to them (as BN and BSB do) being able to do and offer things a free community site cannot in some cases. That's a positive.

Anyone concerned about SGN stealing away community from here need have no worries. You can't adopt my themes and approach while asking for and accepting subscription dollars. The two concepts are mutually exclusive. Which is NOT to say (at all) that SGN can't be a great site, just that it can never be BP. Apples and oranges.

One hopes that SGN will take a look at what's wrong with existing pay sites, and not make the same mistakes. But that's an SGN issue, not a BP issue.

So really, best of luck to the people behind and driving SGN.

Because people are wondering about Alan's PM to me, I'll say that nothing is different for me today than it was yesterday, or when I wrote the original (or any of the other) posts in this thread a few days back.

Short of some major issue, I'm probably done in this thread. I have a limited amount of time to be online right now, and I want to use it to focus entirely on what we're doing here. Not worry about what people are doing somewhere else.
